Yeah - not sure if that was deliberate though - pens could've been needed v Rochdale and only 3 of the 5 were on the pitch at the end of extra time.
Kev was overheard saying before the game - “listen .. you ****ing wait, if we go to pens they’ll be bamboozled by our secret missile, Gubbins & they won’t recover. Que se-****ing-ra!!”

Interestingly Gubbins was on the pitch at the end v Rochdale, came on with 5 mins to go. Was that to shore up or to take a pen incase Rochdale got an equaliser or both?

Wasn’t at all surprised by Gubbins’ penalty. The amount of quality measured balls he’s played down the inside left channel shows he’s got a good left foot on him and a lot more composure than people give him credit for.

The one I was concerned about was Bonne - he’s looked like he couldn’t hit a barn door all season in front of goal. Thankfully he just leathered it and it went in off the post. Big sigh of relief on that one.
He had absolutely no idea where that penalty had gone either. Could have easily come back off the post but Lady Luck was on his, and our side. If in doubt, leather it.

Oldham are well drilled and don't mind being physical. I believe they will be wanting to impose themselves on any 50/50 situations.
I don't worry about our back 4 competing in the same manner, and also the front two (if Hopper/CK or Bonne) are selected then they will do likewise.
In the midfield we don't have the recognisable Timlin/Deegan type immovable cruncher AND this could be a weakness; our boys maybe more technically gifted and faster.
The midfield selection will be the headache choices imo.
Noor, KAF and Cav are not shy when the rough stuff is handed out, I don't think the others are shirkers but those small hesitations make a big difference.
Uhh...not sure Coker or Noor come under that heading.
Would start with Cav for one of the two, and warn him against the sliding tackle that sees us down to 10!

Math? MATH? Scrub up on your English while walking down Wembley Sidewalk on the way to the soccer final.😁
How to use math and maths. The only difference between math and maths is where they're used. Math is the preferred term in the United States and Canada. Maths is the preferred term in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and other English-speaking places.
