I loved going as a kid in the 80s. Yes .. sparse crowds for the main part but when a bigger game came around or the team was doing ok there was a special atmosphere back then, standing on the terraces.

It always makes me smile seeing fans winding each other up now but in those days you were pretty certain they’d be waiting outside for a punch up. Travelling away could be a bit dicey especially wearing club colours.
Each to his own. If punch-ups are what people want... That toxicity and the crowd sizes were directly related. Incidentally, they could have got their punch-ups for nothing if they'd stood outside the Minerva or the Foresters and insulted the clientele.

Well there won’t be any punch ups this afternoon.. hopefully just a win and some great football.

Just got back from a hospital appointment and it's looking unlikely that me and her will make this one in time. Streaming from France looks likely.

I would say as of right now our strongest team so will be good to see how they go. Walker and Bonne upfront is on paper very good at this level.
