None of this rubbish about a must win game.................however! Given the form of both sides at the moment it looks quite an intruiging encounter at this moment in time. We have suffered only two defeats in our last eight encounters, whilst Hartlepool have only lost once in their last nine games..........and that was away to York! Even more interesting is that Hartlepool's last two away games have amassed no less than fifteen goals (a 5-3 defeat at York and a 3-4 victory at Solihull Moors). They don't appear to travel with the idea of parking the bus and gaining a point. Should be an interesting encounter and whilst we want the three points, maybe one shouldn't actually be sniffed at?

Hartlepool are a side in transition, like us they were on paper a team that looked set to challenge for promotion this year but they haven't got going at all and how we didn't win that game up at Victoria Park is still a complete mystery to me.

Both teams now look set for a better second half of the season and it will be a decent test on Saturday - they have a lot of talent in their squad and it seems they've discovered how to find the net. Be interesting how they approach this one, and as ever it will suit us if they come here to play and not park the bus as we obviously have a massive problem with that.

I expect Golding to be on the bench but Adam Crowther will be feeling the heat. He was excellent up at Halifax but a poor game on Saturday and Golding could be in. From what Maidenhead and Oxford fans have said about him, he's quite a prospect.

Only 100 or so tickets sold in the last 24 hours Cricko's right it appears everyone's going Christmas shopping ;-)

Looking like we see 6500 now ... not bad

5660 Tickets SOLD

2028 seats available.
For our league position, coming up to Christmas and our less than desirable home form, anything over 6k is amazing imo.

Don't forget that includes ALL season card holders. I think it won't be anywhere actually near 7k with it being so close to Christmas and all the wives will want to shopping this weekend.
That's what Internet, Amazon and white vans are for.

Hartlepool got a credible 0-0 draw to Barnet this week, thanks to the solid Luke Waterfall at the back.

They had a bench which consisted of the impressive Mancini, LuaLua (former Brighton player) and the experienced Gary Madine. With Dieseruvwe (got 9 goals) who is always a real handful in attack, this won't be an easy game at all. I'd be sticking Dieseruvwe straight on Crowther if I were the manager. Let's hope Crowther is up to the challenge.

I think anything over 6500 will be a good attendance with a small away support, us being bang average and Christmas round the corner.

I'm sure the boxing day clash will level the playing field

I’ll go

………….Collin
…Taylor Crowther Ralph
GSM….. Morton….. Bridge
…….. Coker … Husin
…….. Pepple… Walker

Subs Jeacock, Wind, Golding, Miley, KAF, Bonne and Waldron
