Brown is dropping hints that he will attack and start with Payne (mind you, he has promised that many times before).....

I think a few have been given away to local schools etc as this week's game is the SUSCT in the community game. Whether or not they include these in the final attendance is a different matter! :winking:

I just hope Brown is negative, I can see him making changes which I think will be a mistake.

If we are drawing with 20 mins to go and he takes off worrall, piggott, corr, hurst etc and Western on then this will be the first time I boo because Western should not be allowed near a football club let alone actually playing.

I'm sure he's a great bloke but what a shocking player, he literally does nothing.

I hope we will not be in that posistion anyway but thats the way Brown has been thinking these days with his stupid subs.

WARNING : FIST PUMPING POSITIVE THREAD ALERT ::::::::::::::::::::::

The team line up is irrelevant compared to the importance of the atmosphere from the terraces at Roots Hall tomorrow. I cant stress enough how vital it is we get right behind EVERY single player , every single pass , shot at goal , tackle , save , header , what we need more now than any other game is for us fans to actually support the club in the best way possible - SUPPORTING THE TEAM !!!!!

Call yourself a fan ? then prove it tomorrow + encourage our players to express themselves.

If we raise the roof from the 1st minute whoever plays in the blue/white shirt will be lifted + this confidence will transfer into a great performance and a convincing win , which is what each of us would love to see if we really are true supporters. Cut out any negativity tomorrow + any numpties slagging off the team or management then we must as a group out shout them down and fill the place with positive passion.

We're nicely in the play offs , only 6 points off automatics with a very winnable game against a team who are struggling in 18th position , lost at home last week to a woeful Tranmere team who only had 10 men who had lost the 5 previous matches on the spin !!!!!! AND WE THINK WE VE GOT PROBLEMS ! So Cambridge are looking very nervously downwards back into non league , their confidence is fragile at best , we need to cheers the mighty Shrimpers on + get our promotion waggon back on track.

BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ARRRRRRMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

No confidence at all, we are such a soft touch these day`s, I hate to go 0-1 to Cambridge. That's what my head say`s, but my heart wants us to win 5-0 !

Same team and under no circumstances switch to 451 !

Corr and Joe have formed an understanding as their goals tally suggests so keep them on Phil.

Not always agreed with you in the past, but this 100 percent. Switched to one striker at Burton, that allowed them to push on there fullbacks, as wingbacks, sofive in midfield with two strikers, gave them the game, even with ten men.

I dont see changing from the Burton team that started.
We were really playing well until we bought on Jack for Pig.
Than is when the rot set in. I really blame Tango for that.
My biggest fear is he has lost the respect of the players for that.
I know he did me!!
The reverse at Burton could go make us great or Shi!!!
I know i still have not recovered!!

So its absolutely certain that if PB had not made any changes at Burton we would have won 1-0. Are you sure a team top of the league could not have upped their game and created chances no matter what eleven/formation they faced.

Fair enough, I wasn't their so on others opinion, Jack came on and was disappointing. For the record I'm not his biggest fan but when he came on at Oxford and had a great 10mins. Made a brilliant clearance of the line at 2-2 and caused Oxford problems as the game had opened up. It obviously never worked on Wednesday but who could put their house on any sub outcome...... err apart from Weston of course

No it was 1-1 when we made 1st change.

I hope the team have recovered better than us. The wave of depression that followed the defeat on Wednesday reached down, even to this far corner of south-west France and I'm having difficulty rekindling my spirits for this afternoon. Of course it wasn't the defeat that was so bad........that was half expected...........no, it was the manner of the defeat that hurt so much. Yet, a win today and next Saturday at Bury, would give us a half respectable 11 points from six games in March and would certainly keep alive our automatic promotion hopes. The problem is, I just don't see it happening and more worryingly...............I wonder whether the team do?
Anyway, first things first...........a win today is essential otherwise we risk falling back into the category of play-off hopefulls, rather than probables.

Team selection thoughts?
I believe many think the Burton 11 ought to start again; this is reasonable, however I would consider putting Adam in for Luke - leadership and maybe an elusive, not seen this season, goal from a centre back?
I also would need to know more about Cam U and as to who to play from Kevan, Willo, Deegs or Jack.
This morning is dryish with gusting winds that WILL affect longer/higher passing.
Crowd 6,120 with 301 from CU.
Score, 3-1 Shrimpers.

After the rollercoaster that has been this week I shall be happy for a scrappy 1-0 win. I realise that a score like that will trigger even more doom and gloom on here, especially if this last week on here is anything to go by. So, there is still time to get yourselves down to the Hall, even if you have promised to never go again. COYB

2-2, concede a couple of scrappy goals, probably their only shots on target as this seems to be the in thing vs us!

I think we need to bring back Moody in defence and possibly try Garner and Best upfront.

Seriously, I wouldn't change anything at all from Wednesday, just to make sure we stay 100% on it for 90 minutes.

... oh and consider Ken Foggo out wide.

Sorry, I'm no good as a lone striker

Cambridge are one of those sides that either turn up or they fall apart, so hard to predict how this one will go. Think a win is vital to forget Wednesday night and stop that affecting the run in psychologically, and we need the points against these kinds of teams.

My team would be...
Bentley,
White, Prosser, Thompson, Coker,
Worrall, Leonard, Deegan, Timlin,
Corr, Piggot

Would be tempted to swap Barrett for either of the CBs and I haven't seen Hurst play in the last 2 so can't comment but would imagine the lack of starts then three in one week might get to his legs a bit.

Anyone in the spread for the pre match punch up ? Afterwards inside was pretty good also with those idiot Cambridge fans about outside:smile:
