Hes also extremely unmatch fit which he has realised. He would struggle with 90 match mins.

He is a goalkeeper though. Dave Martin was fine, indeed arguably still good enough to play regularly as a number one. But he kept himself in good condition even if he hadn’t played in a while.

Of course I don’t know the condition he is in. I doubt he’s carrying more timber than Justham is at the moment :-) at least looking at him from afar- I certainly bow to your knowledge on this one.

He was obviously happy to be registered.

With Charlie Brown heading to Bowers & Pitsea on loan for 28 days does anyone know who was out with Hayes pre the Rochdale game?

U19s goalkeeper Joshua Barrett, who has shared the youth team duties with Charlie Brown this season and played in the Essex Senior Cup tie against Hashtag United when Brown was injured pre-match, was involved in the warm-ups with Hayes before today’s game.

For the rest of the season it probably isn't the worst idea in the world to use Jaakkola as the backup. At least you know he's probably going to be the happiest in that situation and look the emergency loan market should we need to cross that bridge.
