Anyone know why Anton Ferdinand walked off the pitch and straight down the tunnel at the final whistle?

That didn't seem to be in keeping with his dominant performance...

Probably a way to manage him and his recovery for Tuesday... his first full 90 minutes since Boxing day - he's got to do it again on Tuesday. I don't think standing around in the cold for 10 minutes would have done him a lot of good. Did all he needed to do well yesterday against the best team in the league. Maybe he just wanted a shower before the hot water ran out?

I heard he had to be somewhere up town.

Just seen Fortuné’s goal celebration properly. Looks like he was taking the mickey out of how old he is. He started walking like an old man then pretended to be wheeling himself in a wheelchair

When MAF went off, I noticed he applauded the Wigan fans, which I thought was good!

Was it? .. I stand corrected.

I thought it was because he used to play for them, but I wasn't at that end of the ground, so I'm probably wrong.

Thanks TSNB. I think the footage of the second goal finally puts to bed what Marc-Antoine Fortuné's goal celebration looked like. It was definitely a zimmer frame DWB, not a wheel chair.

I actually thought it was a bit of both. He started out with a walking stick, but definitely motions as if he is pushing himself along in a wheelchair.

btw, love the third goal on the goal cam!

Nah, creaking back followed by walking stick merging in to walking frame. Agree on the third goal comment though.

I think we need a poll on that one! :winking:

On that goal, you can hear Coxy shouting for the ball from Kites, before laying it in for MAF.

There was a amusing piece in the first half when Kightly got the ball from the back right in front of us in the West. He flicked the ball past his marker with the intention of turning him and racing past into the empty space behind. Sadly, Kite's legs just didn't have the acceleration to do it, and the look on his face said more than a thousand words. About 41 secs on the highlights.

Off topic, I know but I've just remembered it.
