I hope for 2 things ..... that we rest Lenny -- he's our main man in midfield and there may be some repercussions of that terrible tackle he got from the Col Ewe numpty last season , we need him fit & fresh for Gills !!!!

Also that Luke Prosser gets a really great reception from the Blues fans --- he was an honest pro who gave 100% , put his body on the line despite so often being the scapegoat ( undeservedly ) , gave excellent service to our club despite being one of the lower earners. Cheers Luke & Good Luck.
The guy who made that tackle no longer plays for us, he was signed by Wigan for a nice big transfer fee ( That's Wigan Athletic not the Rugby team!) Luke seems to be settling in well for us, we will find out for sure in a couple of weeks if we have made a reasonable signing.

There is zero interest down here for this game, there is not even a pre match thread on our official forum nobody is even talking about it in the pubs etc. I don't think people care if we win or lose, it is just a friendly to get the players match fit for the new season, if the players feel like this too it will be a very drab affair.

To be honest, there wouldn't be any interest from you. After our last game where there were late goals going on, sending off's and a whole stand getting done by one bloke (I don't agree with it but it was pretty funny)your not exactly going to be wanting to come back any time soon. What a derby day!!!!!!!

Horrible day for us but I dn't think that has any bearing on lack of interest, it is just because it is a friendly where we will probably field about 22 players over the 90 minutes. We have made another signing today so the players we field will be very different from the ones who played against you last time.

I always rated Prosser as a good, solid centre back and at League 2 level he will be perfect for you after the rather leaky defence you had last year... All the best for the upcoming season!
