Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend United 1, Ipswich Town 1

Looks like N'Diaye is going to be this season's booboy victim after a couple of friendlies. We don't hang about to judge at Southend, do we? Chris Phillips should stop publicising stick given to N'Diaye already too, only makes things worse.

Give him a bloody chance.

I really really like Mohsni up front...he isn't afraid to try things, contests every ball (even with his own team mates) and he put through a few deft balls last night. He could very easily be a full time striker. Leave him there all season along side Harris an they will both get 20 goals

when have journalists ever been fair ?

they always have to say something rather than nothing at all!!

That is a big statement. It's one thing playing up front every now and then and being the surprise package. Another entirely when teams have scouted your players in advance. Moshni should be used as an emergency striker and should he do well then by all means let him stay there on merit. But lets not make statements like that just yet

To be fair when he has gone upfront he has scored or looked threatening nearly everytime. Dion dublin and chris sutton i beleive started out as defenders and were found more productive as strikers

Journalists are just like us only they are lucky enough that their opinions get read by more people. And if there is nothing to say we all know what they resort to don't we......

Teams can do all the scouting in the world but its a different fact coming face to face with it. Moshni is not a predictable type of player and I don't think he knows what he's doing a lot of the time so how would other teams work him out. He's big, physical and in your face and no centre back in L2 (or any other league) would fancy playing him. I believe he'd get 20+ as a striker, but I still prefer him as a centre back.

IF he is a 20+ goal a season striker then I wouldn't want him playing in a defensive position that's like playing andy carroll at the back, it would just be wasted. That would give us the main aim of finding a center back so wellings captain may have been a good choice.

The problem with playing Bilel anywhere is the opposition will know his temperament try and wind him up and get him sent off.

Don't think it would be wasted at all. Stopping goals is just as important as scoring goals, and we have potentially 2 other strikers capable (Harris/Corr) of getting 20 goals. We only have one defender who can dominate like Mohsni does.
