Smith - sort of ok
Clohessy - tried
Creswell - tried
Prosser - tried
Straker - tried but not really good enough

Spilane - gutless, weak, unbelievably useless
Lund - would be alright next to Laird
Leonard - ineffective going forward
Hurst - couple of good crosses, imagine if we didn't have him...
Mohsni - classy in patches, but plays on a leash so isn't as effective

Britt - cba if its not going his way

Harris - hmm
Corr - tried
Spicer - did ok but why no Eastwood?

The most ineffective midfield three ever in Lund, Spilane and Leonard.

What a joke!

But that's what happens when you lose Laird, Tomlin and Timlin for a long period.

They deserved it.

Even though we deserved nothing we still had chances to get at least a point, but we were really pathetic.

Anyone seen OBD rose tinted specs,he seems to have em.

It was embarrassing. I feel sorry for those that went to clear the pitch.

2 games in a row now Assombalonga has cried like a bitch because he didn't take the penalties. Leave that in the dressing room please and up your game on the pitch and them you might get put on them.

Last night was the worst display I have ever seen from a Southend side. Only 1 man wanted it and that's a man who's only been back here a month!!

Certainly dont agree that Bilel wanted it! He looked to me is af he couldnt care less if we won, lost or drew the game. Just seemed to be interested in showboating when he had the ball. Probably the most skillful player we have but says himself that he wants to move on next season. We need more players like the sadly injured Timlin who always puts in a shift.

Pumping balls up to Britt in the first half who had 2 big defenders marking him was pointless. Does someone tell Smith to do this?

When we were pushing hard to try and get something out of the game later on in the game, Smith needed to come out and make himself the sweeper but that didn't happen either. The players aren't happy having Smith behind them, you can see that.

Been saying that all season. Keeper is not trusted by his back 4. I doubt he trusts his back 4 either to be fair!

It took considerable effort to get to the game last night. had to get from Oxford where I was working for the day, risk interesting the speed police on the M40/M25, pile thro Chelmsford in the rush hour to pick up SS Jnr, sit in a traffic jam for 45 mins on the A130, leg it to the ground via the chip shop as was starving and eat on the run, get turned away from the West Stand ticket office (don't usually go there these days but it was the nearest and short of time) as didn't have enough cash and they are still in the dark ages in not accepting cards (so then had even less time), sped round to the main ticket office and got in to the South Upper just before KO.

Watched a load of cr ap for 90 mins

Eventually got home to Suffolk at 11.15 pm, 17 hours after leaving that morning.

i know I am not alone in making such an effort - Suffolk Blue prob at least matched that and many others too no doubt

If the team can't be bothered to put in the effort when getting paid for it I cannot be bothered to pay for the privilege of watching them get paid for not bothering on Saturday. Need some time to cool off anyway after Tues, and before that the joy of Barnet, and at least re-energise at least for the trip to Rochdale if not managing to do so in time for the Argyle match. Sorry, just the way I feel.

Its alright blaming the players for last nights Very poor performance, but in my opinion our criticism should start with the management, im not saying i want sturrock out as i think he's a quality manager but last night he got it wrong very wrong. From the start AFC Wimbledon played 5-4-1 to shut up shop and get anything out of the game, We as a home side going for the play-offs for some unknown reason go 4-5-1 to me that is clueless!! 1 forward against 5 defenders a defenders dream!!
We should have started on the front foot, 4-3-3 at home would be my choice 3 workman in midfield i know hurst creates alot unless he can put in a shift alongside another 2 midfielders i wouldnt play him in this system. 3 upfront would be Corr Assomlobonga and Eastwood. Lets go for teams if we get 2 nil up then u can go bit more defensive.

Another weird decision was bringing Harris on at Half Time, what does Harris actually offer infront of Corr and Eastwood i just dont get Sturrocks decisions last night and we suffered very badly.

I liked there right winger Saint Luce looked to take the full back on at every chance a good old fashioned winger!!

Thought he was excellent for them as well as the two that came on for the double substitution. Knew Midson would score.

To be fair, Sturrock changed to 4-4-2 after about 10 minutes last night, by pushing Mohsni up front. Then at half time stayed 4-4-2, but put Mohsni left wing in place of Leonard. Then when Corr came on, he pushed Assombalonga wide left and put Mohsni Centre Mid. After that Spicer came on for Straker, and Mohsni went Centre Back, with Prosser going left back.

No wonder the players didn't have a clue what was going on.

Last 12 games, 14 points. That is not much better than relegation form, and only 1 win at home all year.

His first game back was Northampton which was before the second leg against the O's - which by comment consent on here was not a game many expected us to triumph in.

Don't believe that for a second. Mohsni came crawling back when he realised if he did and apologised he had a sniff of Wembley. We were ahead from the first leg and had a fair chance of reaching the final, if it wasn't for that Mohsni would be sitting on his arse in France right now. Totally unprofessional, he can do one in the summer as far as I'm concerned.

Oh yeah, it was Smith's fault we didn't snatch it 4-3, or at least get a 3-3 draw!!!

How about blaming the outfield players that had no fight or desire and left us 3-1 down

I also don't get the Mohsni praise, he was awful, never looked interested, didn't have any positional sense (when told to go up front, then left midfield, he kept drifting into centre midfield) and don't even get me started on the back hell to no-one that went out for a throw (can you imagine if Straker had done that!!)

The only time he did ok, was when he went to centre back
