Southend to play West Ham - Tuesday August 3rd

Yep. I wouldn't want to be the ticket office manager tomorrow morning. He's going to get a shed load of emails, about Hammers in the home ends. Not to mention what this could result in, inside the ground. Stewards and police will be earning their wage tonight, that's for sure!

Also add to the fact that all of the stewards and security bar a couple who worked the away end and the car park last year have been made redundant. There will a bunch of new stewards or the remainder of last years ones spread very thinly around the ground

Think the west ham fans sitting in home ends should just be respectful, to the southend fans around them!! but instead all u get is mugs giving it like 36 years of hurt!!! West ham havent even sold there allocation! So get tickets for the north bank DONUT

Precisely.

Back on the text ticket fiasco... I finally got through yesterday evening and was fobbed off with the excuse that they're fixing the problem and I should have my ticket through to my phone by 11am today, if not, I'm supposed to ring them, which is surprisingly hard when you're conducting and transcribing interviews all day.
Haven't had my text yet. Anyone at all had theirs?

I remember ages ago Spammers shouting to Flavs "hows your brother?"... shortly after Aaron had died. It kicked off big time... Spammer fans are absolute scum.

I'll sit where i like thank you very much, and as for "giving it" bloody hell you lot must lead a very sheltered life if thats what you class my little intro thread as!

For what its worth I quite like your little club and actually have some family who are season ticket holders over there, even though one supports Arsenal and the other far more sensible one West Ham, they just like helping out those less fortunate, proper charitable us lot.

Oh and simac21 you numbnut, its 36 years of pain, not hurt, DOUGHNUT (see correct spelling genius)

Personally i think we should welcome fans of West Ham to roots hall, any club has a few that just want to drag their teams down, but in general terms most are respectful, and lets face it if theres a good turn out tonight and a half decent game then its a few pennies in the bank.

Are you royalty or something? Was you a bully at school?

Agree. It's time to put the hand bags away. The money is very welcome and it will be a real test of how far Sturrock has already gone and needs to go to make us competitive.

And further to that many WHU fans will be from our locality many will have young families, many wont be able to continue following west ham for money reasons, so may well be potential customers for our new stadium. I for one applaud the club for bringing West Ham Utd to roots hall....

Look, TBH if West Ham fans want to come and watch us when they are playing away. Great. So long as they don't wear WH shirts of course as that is not the done thing.

Of course we welcome the sensible one's. Those that just want to watch their team, and come in peace. But as for this idiot on here, 36 years gain pain hurt, who cares, who says he will sit where he likes, he is probably going to cause some trouble. Hope he gets filled in.

You are absolutely correct we are a little club, proud to admit and proud to say it. We do not have delusions of grandeur like some, things are relative, and in "top club" terms West Ham are a little club, always selling their best players to (mainly) your bigger London neighbours. Interspersed with the occasional cup run to keep the natives happy. If it weren't for the Premier League bottling out giving West Ham a points deduction for their cheating in the Tevez affair, like as not you'd be languishing in the lower divisions.
