Whilst there were more people at the seafront last weekend , which in turn made social distancing more difficult , the media do tend to take these ‘long distance’ photographs which make people appear closer to each other.
Not saying there weren’t more people , but just also putting an alternative angle out there ( rather like the photographer ).

Seems Southend is focussed on being a seaside town,what they don't say is the thick people who will drive 50 miles with no Insurance and puts locals in a bad light!
 
I did put on my Twitter (@SZKev) but if you go onto the southend . Gov site, key workers can apply for a free three month parking permit, which allows you to park for free in council run car parks etc. Takes 5 mins and mins was approved within 24 hours!

Good news people. We seem to be out of lockdown. This was today.

Just been speaking to someone in health care and today they have been told a second wave is on its way.......they are at present risking and putting their lives on hold whilst these selfish thick as **** individuals couldn't give a dam.
Southend Council by altering the road layout and opening car park are sending a message come and enjoy Covid beach to East London .If this is the way people are now behaving open the schools and stop the furlough .
 
Strikingly no new cases in 24 hours in London according to the Telegraph. Suggests they’re not all idiots and thick as ****. Or maybe just ones in SW1A ? ?
 
Speaking to The Echo, the Mayor said “I'm pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have, in fact, caught and killed a large virus that supposedly injured some bathers. But, as you see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are open and people are having a wonderful time. Southend, as you know, means "friendship".

Cant speak for Southend, yet in Leigh 'parking suspended' notices in Old Town, Belton Way etc up to 31st May.
 
Walked along the cliffs earlier. It was packed and there was a group of about 40 odd on the cliffs having a bbq. Total ****take
