I ve read earlier about how good the Southend fans are, how well they support the clubetc etc etc. But then i read the threads on here, and some of the threads tell me the opposite, are some of you really fans or is this just an excuse to vent your frustrations in your personal life.Do i think PS will leave at the end of the saeson , yes due to health reasons, if he read some of your threads who would blame him , some are enough to make you sick, also i think any decent player at Southend at present will probably leave, hardly a player some of you havent left untouched by your razor edged tongues. Some of you and you know who you are make me sick, why cant you just support the team ,not just through the good times when they feel good themselves ,but more importantly through the bad times., when they really could do with a nice word ot two to lift their spirits.Yes we all get frustrated when they put in a bad performance as im sure they do too ,thats when they need a good word mostly. Are you really such good supporters , take a look within yourselves ,think about it , and hopefully come Saturday against Torquay instead of slagging off against someone who makes a mistake ,you can give him some kind words and hopefully lift his spirits ,then maybe sometime during that match he will do something spectacular that will more than atone for his mistake.Be the good supporters that i have read you are !

PS . And i dont give a blind F--K what you think of me!I love my club whoelheartedly and want nothing but the best from everyone who wears my clubs shirt.UTB

Great post, i too believe PS will leave along with others out of contract at the end of the season. Due to ill health maybe not, prob just sick & tired of situations arising behind closed doors none of which he would divulge publicly. Players will now be looking for new clubs ( that pay wages on time) as some only have 3months remaining as does PS, great opportunity at Wembley to attract new contracts with other clubs for next season. I wish them all good luck & whatever their futures hold & PS when you leave, please spill the beans :winking:

TY for your support, porterman ,h turner and dingleydnagley.may i also add that there a a very few on here that give great delight in putting others to ridicule.the fact that i mentioned Harry Kewell has been a great delight to them ,they obviously love the fact Southend are in the basement. Here is a player who has no club , he is looking for an opportunity to show clubs he still has what it takes to play in the higher divisions, Southend can offer him that opportunity in an appearance at Wembley , what better opportunity could he ask for. They ridicule me at every opportunity they get, but so what if he says sorry no way , thats not a failure by the club , the failure is in not trying.also to the person who picked apart my grammar , my commas and apostraphes , if you had been through what i have these past 10 years ,i can assure you apostrophes and commas in the correct place wouldnt worry you.In life we are all given opportunities ,its only a failure no matter how hard or impossible they might seem to NOT give it a try.

Im sick of my own fans theyre ridiculous all they do is moan an hardly support a few times ive had a slagging match with idoits behind over recent weeks....

Post of the day BW

The problem is Buffy, many have not seen the hard days back in the 1970's or perhaps before Tilson took us to new heights.

I for one are grateful we could take 20,000 + to wembley and if they donot turn up next week at Roots Hall, its not the end of the world,if a game of football causes them that much grief, then perhaps its a time to look at their life and try another interest which will bring them happiness rather than pain they seem to hold once 90 minutes is over
I do think some are like sheep and follow others when things go wrong, rather than stand out from the crowd that abuse the team

No one is perfect, but as I was told many years ago and it has served me well, if you have nothing good to say, keep quiet

Guess I will see you in the North Saturday singing your heart out?

Wee birdie..........porterman...........birds of a feather flock together? :winking:

Understand where you are coming from, and in some ways agree in what you say, but on the other hand I was there Tuesday night freezing my wotsits off giving 100% vocal support with many others in the North, and was disgusted with he performance, which has to rank as one of the worst seen at the Hall for many a year. There comes a time when even though you are a COMMITTED true supporter a "performance" just pushes you to the edge, Tuesday was one of those.
This was down to the players and them alone, the Sturrock bashers need to understand how much he has done for us and under what circumstances before they make any further comments.
For the record I did not boo the players off at the end of the game, did not join in with some of the "anti" chants, I was just too annoyed and wanted out of the ground ASAP, but those who did had the right to express their thoughts it was one of those nights.

I sang they dont deserve their wages and I feel that was fair after that gutless performance

It's not surprising that we can't win at home when many of our fans are working for the opposition by undermining our own players........

Talk is cheap when your harping on what we should be doing from Australia!

Oh, do you have to live in a Southend postcode to contribute on here, then? It would be a pretty lonely place if that were true. I'm guessing that he was watching the team before you (or even me) were born, and looking back at a time when people's expectations were a bit more realistic. He has as much right to comment as anyone.

I think you are making a basic error. I fully support my club. The team changes, the manager changes, the club is always SUFC. If I criticise the team or the manager it in no way dilutes my support for the club. There are and always have been players on the field that in no way represent my club in the way I expect them to and indeed in my opinion are damaging to the club I support. Likewise with managers. The fan base is SUFC through and through. Many players do not have the capacity to share the depth of passion for our club with us.

I do not ask the manager or players to love the club as much as me but I do ask them to respect the passion of the fans and at least give their best in return.

There's some bollocks talked on here, particularly after a defeat, but have a look at onevalefan.co.uk after they lost to us last week and get some perspective. They're 3rd in the league and want their manager sacked.
