Southend airport

Pisa is the gateway to the the whole of the tuscany region. Highly recommended if you're planning to explore central Italy as the train system is excellent for getting around and exploring.
It is indeed - having just returned from Liguria. Little know fact, Genoa (Genova) has 26 railway stations (and my train seemed to stop at most of them!).

Does anyone know if the 15 minute free still works/applies for drop off in the long term car park?

Yes it does as I used it last week

when you go into the airport by the roundabout just past the zebra crossing take a first left and then a sharp right directly opposite the Holiday Inn

Just to confirm what Tinks said, and to add a bit more, as I dropped off some friends there last week, and they were telling me to go to the drop-off, pick-up at the short stay car park, telling me it was nearer the terminal (being right opposite). And saying it was free for 10 minutes. Well, as I explained, it was free for 10 minutes, but not now.
In summary.
Long stay car park is free for 15 minutes. 200m walk to the terminal.
Short stay car park, official drop off,/pick up, is 0-10 minutes=£5, 10-30 minutes=£8.50, 30-45 minutes=£12. Right opposite the terminal.

From 3rd April 2025, Eastern Airways will commence flights to Newquay, Cornwall. Flights will operate seven days a week with one-way fares from £59.99. Tickets on sale from Monday January 13th.

Saw this, and was excited at first... but that's £600 return flights for our family. Think I'd rather spend £30 on petrol instead.

Especially right now the single person can fly with Ryanair from stansted with return flight for less than £70 in January and February going to Newquay

…and somewhat slower…..
That's the kicker...

My father took myself and my brother on the plane when we played Exeter in April 1991. The club hired a plane to fly Webby and the team down to Exeter Airport and sold a package for supporters to accompany them with lunch with the team thrown in. Memorable day and win.
IIRC we met at Southend Airport at about 9am, had a drink, flew down, coach to the ground, lunch, game, drinks after, coach back to the airport, flew home and was indoors just after 8pm. 11 hours for an away day to Exeter, I believe the coaches left in the early hours of the Saturday and got back in the wee hours of the Sunday.
