South upper on saturday

Please please please can we just drop this debate about who can hear what. I think you will find that the way the Hall is constructed combined with the relative physics of the movement of sound will always govern that the acoustics will be worse than crap. This will not change until we move.

The only thing that can partially improve this situation is if the North bank is handed back to home fans, and this will not happen.

I am in the South Upper behind the goal and I can tell you it was very very loud at times on Saturday ,the best since the Man U game ,amazing as we were one nil down ,brilliant effort ,even the drummer who used to get on me nerves a bit ,has greatly improved as well .

Guys, its not a competition, im just happy that theres an obvious improvement in noise levels within our own stands.

With a bit of fine tuning and a few more catchy chants im sure we can get the ground singing in unison eventually.

Keep it up chaps, we should all be proud of our efforts so far.

Can't see why our own fans are slagging each other off for not being able to hear the other section.

I sit in the Family Stand and heard both The South Upper and Blue Voice Sections. Both made ample noise and did a good job of supporting the team. Noticed a better effort from the Blue Voice section with the new Drum.

If a really big effort is made by All sections on the 1st Jan then there should be a fantastic atmosphere, of course thats new years eve party hangovers aside.

If the west and south are going to keep singing the we are the south/west stand song. forget about including the east. They obviously cant here it.

The acoustics is miles better at Reading FC (I been there once as my friends is a Ipswich fans) I already can feel the sound from the home fans from my seat, that how good the acoustics are as the roof keep the sound in, so the players can hear their fans supports ..... image how Southend players feel if acoustics at Fossett Farms is better and they have to put up with booing when they play crap!
