He was entitled to go for it but he left the floor with 2 feet and you cant do that, obviously i dont want our players to get sent off but if it had happened later in the game i think that both may have got a heavier punishment.

The 2nd goal was indeed a decent flowing move but the commentary on Virgin Media really wound me up as it makes us sound like absolute mugs. Fact is mate we've been playing that kind of football for the last 4 seasons now and have won many plaudits for it, if you've only just had the privilege of watching your side play that way then I suggest you enjoy it as much as we do!

With regards the match I personally thought it was a decent game between two sides who play football, albeit a dirty one at times. Revell and Kuipers BOTH should have gone wheras Moussa's wasn't a red IMHO, infact Virgo went in with the exact same challenge. There's no doubt the man disadvantage definitely played a big part in the result, personally think it cost us a point at least as we were on top in the 2nd half at the time of the dismissal.

Maybe I've been eating too many crazy pills but I seem to recall Hunt kneed Cech in the head and didn't go in studs up at all. As for the rest of it, sending off was a rash tackle but surprising as a straight red, Forster undoubtedly makes the most out of everything to help his cause and we were on top before the sending off. Admittedly some of the descriptions on here are a little polarised and occasionally bizarre.

The ref was appaling, moussa should have been on the field for the whole 90 mins and we were the better side until he got sent off. Moussa was very harshly sent off for what most southend supporters believed to be a fair challenge that was not worthy of a red card at all. We have every right to complain about the decisions the ref made in that match.
And as for the 'Brighton & Hove, Champions 2008-09', don't make me laugh, you will never be top at the end of the season, you will be lucky to even scrape the play-offs this season.

Suggest you learn the rules, Violent conduct i.e attempting to or striking another player as Kuipers did results in a straight red card (See Picture). Then Virgo feels the need to come in and start pushing and shoving when the situation had nothing to do with him. Shoud also have been shown at least a yellow card.
