Getting Barrett or Maher in would definitely buy Ron some time from the fans. Think we’d all give either of those a lot of patience. With Sol I fear we’re only a few poor results in League Two away from massive unrest.

And rightly so. That’s why it’s so important Ron gets it right in the next few weeks. If he fails to do so, then he’ll only have himself to blame.

Let’s take the fact that we’ve got a points deduction hanging over our heads, and put that to one side for now. If we get off to a bad start next year, then we could be in real trouble.

Being the whipping boys of Lg1 wasn’t nice. Being rolled over by teams like Forest Green, Grimsby and Orient will be hellacious.
