Question So...who's going to Carlisle

With Southend being hit for nine over the last two games, certain elements of our fanbase being abusive towards the players and a terrible sinking feeling everytime the opposition attacks the question is:-

Is anyone making the trip to lovely Cumbria this weekend?

I was really considering this and had decided to stay over at a Campsite, however, I forgot it was my Sister-in-laws birthday celebrations on Saturday night so I'll be giving this a miss.

Could the be the smallest away crowd for a long long time. Personally I think that this game has come at exactly the right time. Hopefully people will stay away and get some perspective.

I know replying to ones own thread is bad form but I take 39 views and no replies to mean that it will be a very sparse turnout at Brunton Park.

Now I appreciate that Carlisle is a heck of a long way to go, almost another country but I wonder how quickly this dip in form will start affecting attendences generally? Both home and away.

i'll be honest... i was planning to go, but the girlfriend knows enough about league 1 to know that if you get spanked by orient and walsall... carlisle away isn't going to be great! instead we're having an afternoon drinking session in manchester before the england qualifier and then a night out

Very very dubious about bothering to make the effort now.
Lack of money, feeling like death warmed up and no desire to enter into a slanging match with the self-styled saviours of SUFC (they know who they are.......) also are considerable factors in this!

Some of you make me laugh you moan about our supporters not supporting the team then you lot come out with the cant be bothered line

Deal mate send me the costs

I was only joking, but to be honest, in my current predicament I cannot really see why spending £80 to £100 on a football day-out (even though it is my closest away trip of the season) can be justified when on current form we could possibly ship another hatful of goals.

I'm also hoping that my Bournemouth luck (where I'd booked a flight to come down as it was supposed to be the SZ weekender but chose not to bother going) and we won 4-1 applies on Saturday too (e.g. by denying myself the chance to see SUFC, we pick up 3 much needed points!!!)

Me and Mrs David Icke will be there in our turquoise shellsuits coz...............
Some of the best times spent supporting the team has been when our backs are against the wall and then we start to emerge as a contending force again. Port Vale away in the eighties comes to mind. 40 of us in the potteries to see us win 2-0 and kick start the Stannard years. We're gonna stuff Carlisle and the Sufc phoenix will start to rise from the ashes of departing Gowers and Baileys.

I was being serious, send me the costs and I will credit your bank

Let's hope the morons in block V last night aren't going. Mildenhall is probably looking forward to the long trip away from Southend.
