I am on call (24 hour shift- roll on 08.45 tomorrow) waiting to assist the elderly & disabled of West Cornwall should they require my assistance- oops, better put the phone on...

Back in today. Not ideal, but there's some good racing on the box and the Celtic vs Rangers game to keep me occupied. C'mon the Hoops!

Totally pointless. The mail operators forced RM into making us work and quelle suprise, we were hardly steamrolled with stuff. In by 5.45 and home by 9! Mind you, im so glad im not in next week, as the sh*t will hit the fan with a month's work of junk mail, delivered in about 4 days!

And back in work for another 12 hour shift. Only 10 hrs, 40 minutes left. Deep joy.

Mind you, in the whole of November, December, and the first week of january, I'll have worked a total of no more than 40 hours. Awesome. For the price of 10 leave days.

Signed up for the Army in December '75, did selection at Coldstream and then result - sent straight on leave until after Christmas. Paid for it though, because I worked every Christmas after that until I left.

What was traditionally a mental week for us has now been turned into a tomb by FSA regulations making sure everyone gets everything done on time. Consequently everyone went hell for leather to get everything done before Xmas and now the next three days are going to drag like hell.

Roll on Wednesday......

Am in work today and hating it. To make me feel even more bitter, the only boss of mine who was supposed to be in has emailed to say he will be working from home. Fantastic. So I am here purely for the sake of it with no work to do and nothing but internet surfing to do!

I am in too and thanks to everyone else who normally travels to work on A127/M25/M11 & North circular being off it took no time to get in this morning. Usually that would be good, but not when i am intentionally trying to get in later !!!

I am in work at canary Wharf doing my bit to ensure banks can trade/swap currencies.

Just been for a nice curry.

Am off till the 5th Jan...No Desktop Support for me. Call Cantre and dealers will be at full strength. Will be deluged with calls for fund enquiries/transfers. Still, plenty of DS still in over the next week for any issues...

In today facing about 100 emails from Japan, Korea & the Middle East, had a flurry of phone call earlier.

Now have my yearly get the crap off and clear my desk clean up. Just found a cheese & tomato sarnie best before 18/3/08, don't think I'll risk that.
