So who do we have to thank for this exciting end to the season ?

A few suggestions .....

Micheal Ricketts - for screwing up our close season plans -we even gave him the number 9 shirt FFS....

Lulu Guttridge -- for being a little **** stirrer and missing a sitter at Leicester after gifting QPR a goal from a needless free kick ....

Karl Donogood - his theatrics cost us on the day and in ensuing matches without our skipper...

The Sodge - for starting the Col Ewe game a minute after everyone else..

King Kev and Macca - for their sublime goals at Preston which keeps us in with a shout...

all of the above plus more, not winning a game for months will always spice things up a bit, but I think the team eventually wising up to the championship and really good results since christmas have made it brown trouser time.

Thats barely fair. Other players have made some mistakes which were just as crucial. You could moan at Freddy for missing that open goal against Luton.

OK - add Fredi to the list then - I was only starting proceedings - and while we're on Fred , suppose we should say him again for the goals he did get , without which we'd be dead and buried by now

All I am saying is that you can't blame it on one player. People seem to forget that before boxing day Sodje was immense for us.

Yeah, but what the hell happened on boxing day, he as haing a shocker before being sent off. And never ben the same sinse....hmmmm... maybe its one of the many differet sodjes taken over.

No contest, it's wiggy for finally getting Tilly to acknowledge her superior depth of knowledge about all things concerning football, and her unrequited love of Flavs.

Sorry if you've misunderstood my intentions with the Sodge remark - I wasn't trying to blame one player - in fact I cited several key 'incidents ' in the season - yes was having a go at Ricketts , Gutteridge and Nogood but they all play for other clubs .

Mixed in some positives too - all of which have contributed to us finding ourselves where we are now .

Here's another - Lee Bradbury - for his superstrike at Cardiff which gave us a confidence-boosting first away win

If we're laying blame how about Flavs throwing the ball in the air after gathering from a Wolves cross (shot?) allowing them to score early on at the Molineux
Can't believe the win over Man U wasn't added!
Spinners own goal against .........?
Clarke own goal against Birmingham which set in my opinion the turnaround win for the club

The reason we are down here is because our squad is so small, which is a problem that has come back to haunt us on many occassion (i.e. not having ANYONE on the bench that can change the game - Hull, for example).
That is why we didn't win for 17 games.
That is why Sodje had to play on Friday, despite being off form.
That is why Matt Harrold has had to come on in almost every game, despite not being able to hit a barn door.
That is why we've had countless players playing out of position, particularly in the centre of midfield.

It can't be put down to one or 2 things.

Having said that, the reason we are still in with a chance, for more than just Monday's wonder strike, is Alan McCormack.

There's only one person to blame for the predicament we find ourselves in...
And that is Steve Tilson!

I blame him for all the trouble we're in right now!!

Had he just done one of these things - made different long-term decisions, brought in other players or generally changed his managerial style - we wouldn't be suffering like we are at the foot of this league.

WE'D STILL BE IN LEAGUE 2!!

Here! Here! I can image what its be like on the Shrimperzone forums if we lost 3-1 at Accrington Stanley & losing 2-0 at home to Hereford! over the Easter hoilday! I do not EVER want to go back to League 2 again long as I live!

I reckon the turning point that we signed McCormack from Preston, has we got him in Summer, we would got 54 points by now & start planing for W@nk-Ham derby next season!
