Wigan have money. If they didn't have the backing of Whelan, they'd still be kicking around the bottom two divisions with 3,500 fans.

I thought the same in 1991.

I'm sure there are only a few clubs paying silly wages in the Championship. I cannot believe that many of the teams in the lower half are any better than the top 4 or 5 in our division.
