SNOW - Not as good as it used to be.

Had to drive to work today (Leigh -> Tunbridge Wells). Left home at 8am, by 10am I have managed to get to Tarpots!! Arrived at the office around 11:15am...

The return journey might be entertaining if Bread and Cheese Hill freezes over!!!

that would be nasty!

In fairness we called today a dress down day due to fact no-one wants to be stuck in the snow in a poxy light weight suit......:( :guns:

Dress down days are good fun to spot what everyone looks like in civvies - thankfully we dont have that problem just the reverse: client meetings = suited & booted; other times dress down - but seriously why would this guy come in wearing Lonsdale, oh yeah he's from Kent (Chav-tastic).

:flamer: :guns: :guns:

It was great watching the cars in kents hill road sliding all over the place. i wanted to get the day of work so i could watch all the school run brigade smash into each other. but i guess they cancelled school, not because of the heating and snow but because the lardy parents couldn't drive their brats in the 4x4's to school.

In the old days I used to walk knee high in snow to school. Across three main roads. in shorts.

C2C run a perfect service:guns:

KS I am also part of the Kent shrimper posse and I agree plenty of Chavs on the council estate near me in poorer part of Tunbridge wells

Yeah even so Birrie we have to protect our Garden of England from such Slander. It spoils the facade (not sure if thats the spelling).

Big up the KS Posse

After an interesting drive to Rayleigh (I swear they will grit Crown Hill one day in the ice before I die :p) the 6.43 from Rayleigh was perfect this morning, followed by a fantastic 20 minute wait for a tube where the only announcement was that freakin' reminder to touch in AND touch out with your Oystercard. I'd like to ram my Oystercard somewhere where the sun doesn't shine.

Then on the return tube journey 45 minutes to get from Euston Square to Liv St (though at least the driver kept us appropriately informed), followed by no problems on the train except that it was a four coacher also stopping at Romford.

What I really couldn't believe is how many local schools were closed. I cannot ever remember any of my schools closing and we used to have PROPER snow. :D In addition to that teachers now seem to have 4-5 "teacher training days" on top of their already cushy lifestyle. A bloody good job they are paid sh!t wages is all I can say.

Still coming down thick and fast in Gloucester, as it has been for the last 2 days. All schools closed.

Yesterday the IT suite at uni closed down because 'it was too cold for the computers to function'.!!

And I hate the paths round here which havent been gritted. Nearly skidded my way into town today. :(
