Approximately 21 minutes into our first pre season friendly, I reckon.

Think this is a really smart signing, and think he’ll hit the ground running and surprise some.

He passed his medical with flying colours yesterday, and impressed everyone with his fitness as well, especially considering he was playing part time, and we are into the summer break too.

I was told one transfer target came to Wembley, but wasn’t told who. This one makes sense, as a mate of Leon, and he mentioned how impressed he was in his welcome interview.

Must say, I’m very impressed by the club with the signing reveal video, but also the few tweets before building up to it. Well played media department

Hopefully signing number 2 isn’t too far behind.

SOUTHEND United have completed the signing of striker Slavi Spasov from Slough Town

The 23-year-old has signed a two year contract with the Shrimpers and jumped at the chance to join Kevin Maher's side.

"I'm delighted to be here and I'm buzzing to get it over the line," said Spasov.

"When I first heard there was interest I put everything else on hold while I waited to see if something would materialise.

"I came to Wembley and saw all the fans there.

"Although it wasn't an ideal end, the atmosphere they created and the football the boy were playing is what attracted me to the club."

Spasov scored 18 goals last season and won Slough's young player of the year award.

I have a feeling he may avoid purchasing a gaffe nearby, he'll either look to rent/move in with LCP or commute from slough to start, it's only a 90 minute drive.
