Simon Cox, I think, has the potential to become a very good manager. I hope the Chairman is aware of that. He is a highly intelligent, hard-working player who exudes the will to win and always seems to go out of his way to encourage the younger players in the squad.

He is also quite charismatic and good at talking with people generally off the pitch - so many of them don't have a clue! I agree that he would make an excellent manager when he is ready to, and I believe he's done his coaching badges in readiness.

Ron's not daft, there is no way Kightly is on 7K/PW.

And I think his contract will be terminated in the summer, Lg1 or 2.

How will Ron manage that?

Pay him off possibly but that would still cost us.

Suppose they will offer him a deal say half the wages left to terminate the deal. Saves us half his wages and potential pay day for him if he finds another club this summer or he can choose to stay another year for all his wages due from us.

Hope Cox does stay next season, regardless of what league we are in.

It is amusing though as I recall a number of people, in the summer, suggesting we could do better and not to offer him a new deal!!!

For me there are players that need to be cut and there are players that we absolutely need to keep. For me Coxy is one of the players that must be kept.

Its such a shame that Coxy could not build on his promising partnership with hopper.

Keep those two fit and in league 1 or 2 and we will be just fine. Both score goals.
