Hi Dave,

We are filling up the spaces on a first come first served basis, but it would be really good if you could get a team together so this board is well represented (I have already had a couple of people / teams from this board state their interest).

I was planning on sending out the entry forms towards the end of next week, but I would say if you think you are more likely to play than not, enter, and if we have enough notice if you can then not play, we will try to find someone to take your teams place......

I will see what I can do. I think i should be fit but as its a knee then you never know.

On a serious note is there any interest in resurrecting the SZ team for this?

Don't quote me on this, but I'm guessing that due to Play Football's Insurance policy that under 16's won't be allowed to play with over 16's. This is because they are an FA affiliated company and so have to stick to FA rules. Whether this counts towards private functions I'm not too sure. Best thing would be to ask Play Football themselves.

Indeed, couldn't have put it better. This is a joint venture between ShrimperZone FC and Playfootball, and unfortunately our insurance covers us for men's football only, which means minimum age is 16. What I will say is that once the competition reaches it's latter stages there will be some pitches we can use and so if there were any other U/16's on here that wanted to play we could arrange a match or mini competition for you.

Was it ever agreed whether SZ posters wanted to get a team together? A few posters ahve contacted me direct with their own teams to enter, but if the likes of Webby and Flinty wanted to get a team together let me know.

Plus if anyone else has their own teams that would like to enter let me know.

Unfortunately only webby showed interest, so probably not.

Men's 5-a-side World Cup tournament at PlayFootball (Westcliff), next Saturday, (12th June), 1pm - 4pm, teams of 5-8 players, £5 per player, drop me or Number 11 a message if you want to enter a team.

And Axe and Webby, and anyone else on here......even if the board dont get together to form a team, if you wanted to play in the afternoon, drop me or Cricko a line and there will be space in the SZFC teams you can play in. Same goes for anyone else on here that wants to play but doesnt have a team.
