ShrimperZone v BDF

Durham Athletics v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Durham Athletics won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Slow

End of Over 24: 101-2, runrate=4.21
White 2-0-13-0
Ricketts* 0 (1 balls)
Schoeman 34 (53 balls)

Last Wicket: Tselane c. Benamar b. Roeder 52 (FOW: 97/2)

Not a bad start...

Not a bad start either, taking out their second best batsman with the first ball,

0.1 W Mapes to Nevin
Shortish delivery, seaming away, catches the glove as Nevin tries to evade it. Huge appeal, the umpire raises his finger and an overjoyed Mapes begins his celebrations.

Just noticed, he took out their best batsman

8.3 W Mapes to Hiller
Mapes drags it short and Hiller is caught by surprise. Ugly looking pull shot and the ball balloons up towards mid wicket. Boateng settles under it and takes a comfortable catch.

End of Over 28: 142-3, runrate=5.07
Gamage 4-0-11-0
Black* 57 (73 balls)
Bucknell 6 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Sturdy c. Neill b. Norton 37 (FOW: 121/3)

Still progressing nicely...Just lost my first wicket. Although can be a blessing in disguise as Wise was slowing down.

End of Over 36: 202-1, runrate=5.61
Craig 5-0-27-1
Gower* 1 (2 balls)
Toulson 95 (110 balls)
Last Wicket: Wise c. Leader b. Craig 97 (FOW: 201/1)

End of Over 40: 173-3, runrate=4.33
Boateng 10-0-39-0
Black* 68 (108 balls)
Bucknell 23 (64 balls)

Last Wicket: Sturdy c. Neill b. Norton 37 (FOW: 121/3)

End of Over 43: 192-4, runrate=4.47
Neill 7-0-33-1
Black* 71 (115 balls)
Bond 4 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Bucknell b. Neill 35 (FOW: 188/4)

42.6 4 Neill to Bond
Wide and given the treatment, four runs over point.
42.5 W Neill to Bucknell
He's been bowled! A little inside edge took it onto the stumps, how unlucky can you get?

End of Over 45: 205-5, runrate=4.56
Neill 8-0-37-2
Bond* 12 (6 balls)
Hackett 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Black lbw b. Neill 76 (FOW: 205/5)

44.6 . Neill to Hackett
Tight, shortish ball just outside off stump. The batsman tries to cut but, with little room to free his arms, he chops it into the ground instead. The ball rolls away tamely to point.
44.5 W Neill to Black
Gone! Poor footwork from Black, he's just shuffled across the crease to play that one and it's hit him plumb in front.

End of Over 47: 219-9, runrate=4.66
Neill 9-0-39-6
Bond* 23 (11 balls)
Watson 1 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Oconnor b. Neill 0 (FOW: 217/9)

46.4 W Neill to Oconnor
Oconnor went for a cut shot off a short, wide delivery but played on to the stumps. A real bonus for Neill!
46.3 W Neill to Pepper
Pepper looks to go after a short wide ball from Neill but gets a thick inside edge which sends the ball flying into his stumps
46.2 W Neill to Aftab
Neill has got some reverse swing there and off stump has gone as Aftab shouldered arms.
46.1 W Neill to Hackett
Bowled him! Neill came up with a real beauty there, although there isn't anything pretty about the celebrations as he's received a slap to the face thanks to a stray high-five from Flood.

End of Over 48: 224-10, runrate=4.67
Mapes 8-0-80-3
Bond* 27 (13 balls)

47.4 W Mapes to Watson
Misjudged the line to a straight delivery and loses the off stump which nearly takes out Connell behind the wicket!

End of my innings:
End of Over 50: 309-3, runrate=6.18
Raven 10-0-66-1
Ruddy* 3 (3 balls)
Phiwokwakhe 40 (24 balls)

On a dusty pitch with my 3 decent spinners I'll be disappointed if I don't win.

Collapsed from 168 - 3 to 192 all out, I've got 1 wicket but his top 3 are probably a bit too good for me

End of Over 10: 39-1, runrate=3.90, reqrunrate=3.85 (192-10)
Prasad 5-0-22-0
Chandler* 14 (20 balls)
Mbata 15 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: James c. Law b. Oconnor 9 (FOW: 14/1)

Their reply is going well...

End of Over 30: 180-1, runrate=6.00, reqrunrate=6.50 (309-3)
Job 10-0-72-0
Leader* 14 (11 balls)
Ahmed 91 (81 balls)

Although I got an opener out the guy who came in has 80k BTR and has an average over 100.

Not so confident anymore.....

Won last night by 11 runs. My side's batting was crap again, getting all out for 188, although that was on a cracked pitch.

They were cruising at 83-1 when Deakin came on and tore them apart. His figures were Deakin 10-5-19-3, and Deane came in at the death to take 4-45 and ensuring victory.

Tight game.

I won mine by 7 wickets, will check them all out when I´m back from sunny Barcelona on Wednesday.

Did The General lose? He said he challenged, which wasn't accepted, so surely we win that one?
