As Smiffy said on another thread,Great effort from all that went along to support the Lads today....

Or in the infamous words of Callan ........."Come on The Football"

Well done boys, good to see you decided to get ten times better after i left :P

Especially well done to Scrounger, it was nice for him to lift the cup after his bad news from the GUM clinic this week. ;)

On chances mullered them, but needed battling performance in the best traditions of SUFC supporters, having not put them away, and the team to a man gave their all. Superb team performance.

100% from the penalty spot though - gave their keeper no chance and good save from flapper on their second.

Good work lads & well done - put the icing on the cake to a memorable weekend after the Carlisle Road Trip.

On behalf of the Committee, the first team and all the club can we say a massive THANK YOU to all that gave up their time (and money) yesterday afternoon to come over and watch. It was really appreciated and added to a memorable day out for SZFC.

I don't think the whole world needed to know that, but I also send my best wishes and speedy recovery to Scrounger too.

Congratulations from the Dutch Division of SZFC !!

Also well done to Flapper for getting in the head of their first penalty taker:

Flapper (to Kingsfield player) "Which way are you going? Are you going to put it left or right?"

* Nervous Kingsfield player sticks it a foot wide *

Priceless

Thank you to all who turned up to support, it really added to the occassion and help us keep going through the 120 mins.

Yeah it was great to see so many familar faces over at Wakering yesterday ( and even some un-familar one's ) supporting us. Was a great occassion and the support was massive for the lads! We certainly made it hard-work and if the lads had their shooting boots on, it could/should have been about 5-1 but fair play to Kingsfield for digging deep too. Great to see the Allclaims boys over there too trying to hurl abuse at us, luckily we didn't drop to their level and re-act to it all.

Well done to both sides for making it a great day for all that where involved there was some great support for both sides the poor old lino got some stick for being Bald but he told me afterwards that he enjoyed the banter.I had a feeling it was going to go all the way to penalties although I have to agree with the General I thought you created enough chances during the game to kill the match off.
Some unorthodox saves from the Kings goalkeeper kept everyone amused during the game and there where some very tired legs in the last 10 minutes of the extra- time.

Once again a big well done to the zone for winning the final

Regards
Phil Rutter (aka MITM)

Well played Phil, let's hope that no Kingsfield people see your post or they might complain you were biased by being a member of the Zone.
