The issue regarding Prices & the lack of Training on the New Tills for the Staff will be raised at the Next Liaison Meeting.[b said:Quote[/b] (ldnfatso @ Sep. 10 2006,10:55)]Is it my imagination that the beer prices in the shrimpers club have gone up yet again? I'm sure they went up during the off season and yesterday with the introduction of new tills (that incidentally none of the ******* serving could use) they have gone up yet again.
Blimey, that's cheaper than here! It's about £2.85 for a pint of Fosters! Mind you, all "international" brands are a lot more expensive out here; opt for a local brew (Cruzcampo, Mahou, Aguila) and you'll only pay out £1.50 a pint.[b said:Quote[/b] (ldnfatso @ Sep. 10 2006,11:57)]£2.60 for Fosters
Always considered the food at the Hall to be miles below a decent standard anyway, so bringing your own or getting sonme chips from the fish house seems to be the best matchday option, unfortunately[b said:Quote[/b] (The Big Shrimp @ Sep. 10 2006,11:35)]Also, whilst on the subject of prices, 2 pies, 3 cokes & a Mars bar, £8.50!! I'll be bringing my own from now on!! I dread to think how much somebody with a family must spend every week!!
Never the less, please tone it down where the insults are concerned in future.[b said:Quote[/b] (ldnfatso @ Sep. 10 2006,12:15)]The prices are also bang out of order mate!

Chips & canned drinks (for safety reasons)I can understand, but sweets & bottles of water or coke etc, is a bit much. I have friends who bring 2/3/4 kids to games, & although I not a parent, it ain't cheap bringing up kids & then taking them out for treats.[b said:Quote[/b] (Xàbia Shrimper @ Sep. 10 2006,12:05)]But haven't the club banned people from bringing their own food into the ground (especially food from the Fish House)?
If they have my brother and i never get stopped by the stewards.[b said:Quote[/b] (Xàbia Shrimper @ Sep. 10 2006,12:05)]But haven't the club banned people from bringing their own food into the ground (especially food from the Fish House)?
meanwhile, here it's 11 rand a pint - which equates to about 79 pence. the much better 'local' brew, called windhoek, is even better value at 64p a pint[b said:Quote[/b] (Xàbia Shrimper @ Sep. 10 2006,12:59)]Blimey, that's cheaper than here! Anyway, back on topic: I very rarely used the Shrimpers Bar on matchday because the quality of beer was extremely poor and the quality of service was almost as bad. It sounds as if huge efforts are being made to attract people back into the ground for pre-match drinks but that it's not being 100% successful to the benefit of local hostelries such as The Spread Eagle.
