WIth all thats been going on and being said over the past two days, iw onder if it is time that LS got a decent run in the side. Lets look at the situation sensibly, JJ suspended by club, Mosh likely to follow, Grant, out of form, Kane not much better, neither JPK and that leaves just Hall and Timlin who are playing with any consistency. One thing that we have been crying out fot is some pace and creativity and if Hall and Timlin dont produce that leaves very little. For all his talent im still not convinced that left midfield was/is the best place for Moshni, neither CB and there lies another problem, not sure PS trusts Moshni enough to play him there and although he has done pretty well at LM, Sawyer must be fairly dissapointed.

What we have found in the past including this season, is that when Lee gets a decent run in the side he produces. With the next four weeks very hectic and the transfer window nearly upon us, wouldnt now be the right time to give him a run in the team and see what happens, what other options are there??

If he doesn't feature against Bradford then I reckon something must be wrong and he could be off soon. Would be a shame as we all know what he can do.

I think we all know what Lee Sawyer can produce (especially from his first loan in 2008), however for whatever reason he has failed to sustain that type of form in a blue shirt since.

Totally agree with the comment about how he could add to creative play, but in the Manager's eyes this presumably is not the case or style needed to fit into the team.

Sawyer doesn't seem to me to fit the mould of a "Sturrock player"...

Yeah, after all look at the minutes he's been given on the pitch, must be at least half hour!

Should Sawyer be given a chance now? Absolutely.

We have a wealth of good midfielders but for some reason a number of them are not playing at their best at the moment ....... although the opposition players may have something to do with that.

Let's not forget that Leonard is now back from injury ........ so my midfield four for Friday would be ......

Hall
, Timlin, Sawyer and Leonard

Leonard for me is not the answer, or at least not a right back. He has done an ok job at best and he like most of the side is very basic going forward. Personally I would like to see a proper right winger brought in come July and Sawyer given some time in the side to show what he can do. I dont think he is amazing by any means but i think we lack any sort of forward drive and that is one thing that he can offer us.

I don't disagree with you Dave the Shrimper but my thoughts were that a) we are at home and b) we are playing a team near the bottom of the league ...... so Leonard being an attacking threat could give be the right selection for the first 60 minutes or so.

Id be disappointed if we have JPK and Kane in the middle again on friday. Need to get at them from the start, they have not won all season. Wouldnt mind seeing Kane and Sawyer in the middle, Hall and Timlin out wide.

Yes, Sawyer should start. Our strong midfield is now a soft underbelly. Many out of form or very inconsistent. The guy is champing at the bit, he can't do no worse than some of the others. He's kept a low profile and waited patiently. Fair enough when on the unbeaten run. But now we have started a losing streak. The extra competition for places would also give the others a kick up the backside as well. Bring in this player willing to give 100%. Some clearly aren't giving that at the moment.

I quite like Leonard, he reminds me of Pettefer, in that we look a lot better with him than without him, even though he doesn't stand out in any particular way.

Sorry, but I don't see Timlin as a wide man ..... he always wants to come into the middle of the pitch. Great if he does and creates a scoring chance but otherwise it leads to less width and too much congestion. Just my opinion ........:omg:

I heard from a reliable source that it is felt his final pass is poor and his shooting isn't very good, that is why he isn't picked.

on friday he should make a couple of changes but id say play sawyer, prosser and harris all from the off and maybe leonard also.

id go with,

Morris, Clohessy, Phillips, Barker, Prosser, Sawyer,Gramt, Timlin, Hall, Harris, Dickenson
