Which sense would you happily get rid of

1) I get terrible hayfever so I try to avoid freshly cut grass at all costs

All the more reason to keep your sense of smell then? It's not the smell of cut grass you're allergic to, it's the pollen churned up when the grass is cut. Without your sense of smell you won't get any warning.

Cricko, seriously you've missed your calling, there's a career on the stage waiting....

...sweeping it........ (I thankyou, I'm here all week.....)

lose your sense of smell and your sense of taste goes with it..
Hearing for me so I can get some peace n quiet on the fecking train home!!

Of course, Descartes said

Le bon sens est la chose du monde la mieux partagée, car chacun pense en être bien pourvu.
René Descartes, Discours de la Méthode (1637)

and you wonder why people give you neg rep??:thump: :thump:

I've gone (reluctantly) for smell, although it's a sad thought that as we age, the two senses that people seem most reluctant to lose - sight and hearing - are the two that will go.

:(

I have no sense of smell and to be honest its no great loss for most of the reasons already mentioned, curries, sewage, "country smells" etc etc.

Only downer is if there is a gas leak:(

That reminds me of a great porn film tagline - IIRC The Sexy Sense - its tagline was "I see naked lesbians"

:D

That will wake up Slipper. He will want you to seek high and low for that Naps.:p
