Thanks to everyone that voted and my commiserations to Rich. A battle too far for the majestic Pixies, but a semi-final is a cracking result IMHO, especially if you think of who Doolittle has dispatched!

I can only echo MK "Gloating Barsteward" Shrimper's comments. I didn't expect to knock out the greats that are Pink Floyd, The Beatles & even The Clash!
For those who don't know a lot about the Pixies, they were a VERY influential, despite being relatively unknown over here. That said, you try getting a ticket for a gig, as they were always a sell out! The reunion gigs at Brixton still hold records for selling out quickly!
I will be throwing my considerable wait behind Nirvana, who were influenced by the Pixies. They got the fame & fortune that the Pixies deserved, but look what it did to Kurt Cobain! Who needs it!!

Congratulations to The Roses and of course you Paul. IMO the Pixies should have won this round.
All i can say is that justice should be done in the final and all you Beatles, Floyd, Jackson and of course Pixies fans should throw your support firmly behind.....
