Season cards

I would be really angry and consider not renewing if prices went up and we did not go up although I probably still would.

Just for comparison and I would not go if free the cheapest season ticket at Millwall to watch Championship football of a much higher quality is only £20 more than charged by us.

I’m not be surprised or too dissapointed if prices increased. There’s rising prices of trading, extra salaries, investments being made. The money for it all has to come form somewhere. I’d pay 5% to 7.5% more without too loud a groan now that the money is actually going into the club, rather than on interest, solicitor fees or Ron’s back pocket.

But costs are likely to have increased quite a bit - at the very least there's been minimum wage increases plus NI increases impacting the wage bill. I'd be very surprised if they stayed the same.
Could the rise in those costs be negated by freezing prices and selling more?
Have spoken to a fair few people that are keen to get a season ticket next season having not had one before.
Interested to see how the price lands.
I am certainly hoping that the emergency services bracket remains.

Complicated to execute, but I'd like a means to crowdfund an additional signing. Wealdstone do this regularly but I am not privy as to how they do it.

For example, if we could get 1,000 people to pledge to donate £100 more than the ST price, that mostly pays a £2k a week player for the season.

Would be interesting to see the numbers who would do it. We all expect/want/hope for COSU members to dig deep into their pockets, so it'd be nice for the fanbase to do the same as a collective. It'd also make it easy for exiles to do their bit, if they wish to do so.

Id be really disappointed if we stay in this league if the price went up
Why? Costs have risen, employers NI being just one example. COSU have started investing money into the facilities and squad. It's getting better for our match -day experience, so why shouldn't we pay an extra 'few bob' to pay for it?
To me, it's the same as using this excellent forum but not bothering to contributing financially to it.

I've been thinking this for a while. Could do some optional extra into a transfer kitty

Is it not up to the turnstile steward to identify such a situation, check any credentials and politely redirect the purchaser to the ticket office?
Some of the turnstile stewards are not up to the job. Last game I had my grandson with me, the person in front had a problem with their ticket and started causing a queue while they discussed it, we just walked round them and into the ground. We both had tickets to get in so wasn't trying to get in for free but it is so open to abuse if you are that way inclined.

Possibly - but only if those fans wouldn't normally attend a fair few games paying higher individual match day prices (too many season ticket holders could actually reduce average match day income)

On a £400 full price season ticket and inflation at 2.6% it would be, imho, reasonable to increase by £10. Higher increases could be 'reasonable' if our costs have increased by more than this, but careful communication may be needed for this.

I wouldn't expect prices to be frozen if remain in NL as some other posts have suggested.

Personally have no issues with increasing season ticket costs. Feels like the cost of everything else has gone up and can't expect COSU just to cover it. They've already said they want to improve infrastructure and invest for promotion so would seem fair to me. With that in mind and not wanting to exclude people who may struggle to afford it maybe the North bank and South lower should be cheaper?

South lower defo as it rarely gets full in there.

North Bank is an interesting one as I suspect the demand will be there, so not sure it needs an incentive to sell seats.

If it was me i'd increase prices in the East, West and South Upper by around 8% rounded down to the nearest multiply of £5.00 but with pricing in South Lower and North Bank kept at this years prices.

The reason the North was so popular was in part down to the Next-Gen pricing. Lot's of Teen's took advantage of the £1-£5 prices pay as you go. Will be interesting to see what COSU intend to do to keep them coming back next season.

There is now no longer the need to have the early bird offers available the second we click into a New Year, because we are now no longer so reliant on that cash coming into the coffers at such an early time!

Whether there will be time for an early bird window remains to be seen, and I've said before that comp tickets should only be available at a similar level to your own tickets, otherwise we're literally giving tickets away - i.e. a child ticket gets to use three comp child tickets, if an OAP wants a comp for someone who isn't an OAP but a standard adult, then pay an upgrade. It's these kind of little loopholes which have been exploited by some for years and need tightening up.

....... "exploited" can be a perjorative word. If the club offers three complimentary tickets with my season ticket, it is not exploitation if I take them up on that kind offer, nor is it a loophole.

Would anyone In their right mind pay £400 to sit south lower.

I get the services discount which makes it a no brainer for me.

Id really love the club to push for 5k season tickets and have good deals for the youth tickets. They are the future of the club and so many are falling in love with blues and not some Premier league outfit. That should definitely be tapped into.

I don't mind season card prices going up a little in line with additional costs..

To be fair, you don’t have to pay for a child’s season ticket until they are 8.
