Another poor result and a demoralising journey home.

With injuries hitting hard we need to bring in one or two loanees to thresher things up if we want to stay on the coat tails of the chasing pack.

Agree about the two goals one was a penalty and the other was a rebound from a clearance, but we were without 5 regulars today so a great result over all I thought we might lose!

31 Shots.. I can only guess your Col Utd players, must have had some kind of serious manager team talk to advise them that the teams swap ends at half time?

I would'nt consider letting in 40 goals at this time of the year a success story? would you??

i'd rather we gave a few youngsters a taste of first team football and i'm really not bothered about going up. i'd love to of course but i think we'd come straight back down hard. i don't think we're as good as the Tilson double promotion team and the gap between Tier 2 and Tier 3 seems pretty big to me watching them

Can we have a carbon copy of last season out of the cup at the first hurdle .Then win promotion we can all have dreams cant we .The difference from last season is we seemed to have lost the ability to defend from set pieces .

I reckon Ron is rushing for his 6pm Gin & Tonic (but not in a good way & probably checking his wallet right now to see if he can cover the bill).

In all honesty, & to be fair, this might be our silver lining, considering our injuries and a possibilitiy of a replay adding onto an ever decreasing squad. We always knew that our best chance was the JPT. I think we need some rest time, so if we lost in the replay, surely that would be worse. One note, If Scunthorpe get a massive draw in the next round, I will be mad, however If they get a non league northern club, I will still be as happy as punch.

On another note, Im listening live to the post match interview... I really think Phil gave a good account of the game and the players and the referee. He seems to be at the end of his tether with our defence.
