If and when he's needed he'll get a chance. Sooner or later there will be injuries or suspensions and he'll be needed. Then it's up to him to grab his chance and make himself a regular as let's be honest no matter how much of a fan you are he is still in the unproven stage.

I really cannot understand this clamouring for him to be getting more football now. The team is playing well. Easton, Grant, Ferdinand doing good. No need at all to change it. He'll get his chance, be it through loss of form, fitness or discipline by one of the others in due course. it's a marathon not a sprint.

Can only be a good thing - 2 players fighting it out for a place in the starting 11 , can understand both point of views but my Mentallity has always been not to change a winning side , Sawyer will play a part in this season i'm sure and its up to him to nail down a starting place once he gets a chance .

Let's just put our faith in Sturrock shall we? He obviously deemed Sawyer to be worthy of signing, he also deemed Ferdinand to be good enough to move up to the first team. Both good judgement calls. Sawyer will start when it's right/necessary for the team and that time is probably not yet. Neither Easton or Grant will be dropped one would assume so Sawyer in for Ferdinand would cost us some defensive control.

I think Sawyers use will come to the forefront soon. The squad are/will pick up niggling injuries so players will miss games here and there and this will give Lee his chance to prove his worth as part of a squad!

Yep, while we are winning Sawyer has to wait. It's working at the moment. It's only a matter of time until someone gets injured, suspended or we hit a bad run.

As for the criminal stuff - he's been punished so let him do his service and move on. He's only a kid, has hopefully learnt from his mistake and won't do anything like that again. It's not as if he's done anything like a Lee hughes where all parties can't just get over it and get on with life.

He certainly wouldnt takes kanes sweeper/defender position so he would have to dislodge el capitain granty or hall , all of which are playing well and gelling hence our winning run.

Lee will have to wait for injuries or suspensions to kick in and then stake his claim, but that could be a long time coming.

Ive no doubt that Lee has a part to play , but saying he should be in for one of the current four when they are playing so well together would send the wrong message to the team.

it is old news and a domestic issue created because his EX would not let Lee or his Mum or family see his 2 children or be in contact with his children
because he started a relationship with a new partner,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he went around to his EX house with Mum and sister and her 3 year old child in a friendly manner to try and resolve the matter but she was not interested
but was told to go ......off then she tried to slam the door in his face he put his foot in the door to stop her door bounced back screaming shouting and shoving hence common assault ...............You are not by law allowed to place your foot inside any ones house uninvited this you can be found guilty of Common assault as has happened to Sawyer he is not happy it ended this way. this domestic situation has been on going to do with his children since his second spell at SUFC
He is now dealing with it through the correct channels by use of a Southend based solicitor and hopes to form a relationship with his children in the near future
He was found GUILTY OF COMMON ASSAULT not beating his wife up common assault happens on a daily basis although it should never happen at all some people
in life want to take it further knowing that your a public figure and will cause you damage so well done to his ex she got what she wanted BUT Sawyer now knows
that doing things the right way legally will enable him to see his kids which is all he ever wanted in the first place..............i am not condoning in any way Common assault but circumstances are all different and this was a family issue that went wrong not a continued attack on a helpless women NO CUTS NO BLACK EYES

Mr sawyer and his mother had access to his children for over a year while he was with his new partner, infact he was with her before their 2nd child was even born. so unless he has never meet his son that is wrong! (Like other statements u have made.) there are also health reasons regarding the children which is why visitation stopped!
Any visitation will now be discussed through a family court.
The sawyers did not approach miss robertson's house in a friendly manner, and nor was it the actions of a caring father! Who's two young children witnessed the violent show! It was clearly a group attack to intimidate a young vulnerable mother who was thought to be alone with her children! ( The words of the judge! Then both saywers were found GUILTY!!!)
Thankfully we heard that miss robertson's mother was present that day.
Both saywers were found guilty of battery! Not COMMON ASSAULT.
The domestic situation has been on going for a number of years, and with the support of her family miss robertson went all the way to court THIS TIME and she held her nerve and stood up to the sawyers! as this malicious assault happened in The presents of children!
It was an attack on a helpless women what ever way u look at it! No black eyes, but many cuts and bruises on both miss robertson's and her mother!
This was not just a common assault charge as you put it! Mr sawyer now has to attended a domestic violence course! (Not something you are given under common assault charge) aswell as his community service.
Mr sawyer has a lot of growing up to do, VIOLENCE is not the way forward!

Correction, he was charged with BATTERY not common asault. Big difference. You seem to have made up your own story about the events that happened however the courts were in posession of all of the FACTS including his previous arrest for BATTERY to his ex-girlfriend while she was pregnant with their second child. He was lucky the last time and she was foolish to drop the charges on that occasion. If anyone here thinks that beating a pregnant girl black and blue and again beating her up in front of her two terrified children is acceptable then you need to think again as you may be in the "SAME LEAGUE" as HIM.
Football is a family sport and players are looked up to by kids, even copied. Is this the type of player that Southend wants. CASE RESTED
