Saints (A) - last game of season

Typical, another long wait for my local game again!

Still, this time round, roles could be reversed and it could be us playing to get into the play-offs and Saints already relegated???

Let's hope we'll have something to celebrate by then.

Was with a chap from Southampton Uni at lunchtime when I found this out, he was a Saints' supporter and remembered our last encounter. As I said elsewhere, it's my son's 18th so we're hoping it's a good one.

Got to say I love the idea of us going there to celebrate promotion with them already relegated.

I wonder if they'd remember how gracious we were when we visited them with the roles the other way around?

I remember the champioship fixture, one of the best away games i have been to. OK we got thrashed but the joy of our fans dancing around and singing the whole game was immense.

Also if memory serves me right it was when they had alan ball's family at the ground and everyone joined in singing his name. Went out after the game and there fans were saying we were amazing and always welcome back there.

Shame the night was slightly ruined by Leeds fans (yes even when they are not there they still ruin things) because no clubs would let us in because they smashed them all up a few weeks before, so wouldnt let any football fans in... Dirty Leeds.

Already planning this away one!!!
