He got Boston promoted by getting better players by paying more than anyone else in league and then avoiding tax and deceiving the league by using two contracts.
He got a 20 month ban from Football fined 8k for impeding the investigation and was later got a years suspended for conspiracy to to evade tax.
He is a convicted crook....

Well, that's about as far north as you can get and very close to his family .......... or have I got the wrong Eastleigh .......... :facepalm:
 
Cresswell could get in most league 1 squads and most league 2 teams. Eastleigh must pay well.

Oh, Eastleigh have some dough, pay better than a the majority of League 2 clubs and even a chunk of League One. Cresswell is a lot better than dropping to that level at this stage of his career, only 28, but he's obviously earning a decent wedge.
 
He’s only 31 too, his career took a massive nose dive. Shame always thought he was decent and the Cresswell that played for us starts ahead of Turner and White.
 
Have a listen to Undr the Cosh podcast. He's just done an episode on there talking about battling alcoholism recently

Thanks mate, I subscribe to the podcast and they’ve cut out the Southend part which I was really disappointed we didn’t get a mention. Shame he left when he did I really liked him. A well worthwhile listen to that episode.

Said he really didn't want to leave but there were huge wage issues at the club at the time and it was not great to be around it all - then a few months later all was agreed for him to return back but Fleetwood wanted their fee back which we declined sop the deal was off. I remember it differently, think he wanted to move closer to home which was around Sheffield way. So moved to Fleetwood 😏

Really liked Cresswell, thought he was excellent with us and was gutted when he left.
