Well I've just been browsing League2 and have come across this post from "rowhst101rhall". It reads:

Rumours on the Southend message board this afternoon suggest Gower is set for a move to Hull at the end of the season. As he signed a 1 yr extension to his contract last year a fee would be involved, but I don't see him as Championship material yet!

What do we think? Anybody else heard this rumour?

Ive heard of it but dont believe it, it seems every decent player we have gets linked with an ex manager...

No doubt the Tilly to Peterborough rumours will start up soon!!...

It looks like Hull will go up and I don't think Gower would cut the mustard at that level. Jesus, he isn't even fit enough to last a game in league 2!

Although he has, at times, been brilliant this season, his general performances have not matched those of last year. I would not say he is in line for player of the year, for instance. I would be far more concerned if Barrett or Gray went.

Usual rumour mill methinks.

If this rumour is true, would Gower stay with us ? Hull can offer him a better contract than us, better level of football etc. What do 99% of footballers do ? Go where the money is.

So? true he has shown moments of brilliance but his average performance has been pretty mediocre to be honest. I thought we should get a new winger and if his sale can pay for one, then let hime go!

I don't want to really see Gower go (he's been getting a lot of unfair bad press on here over the past couple of weeks for some reason & I thought he played fairly well v Rochdale & again OK before he tired in the heat @ Cambridge) but as FBM says this could be a particularly sharp bit of business. Around £75k in + picking up say Devaney from Cheltenham will more than compensate for L1 (hopefully) next season.

I doubt we'll get Devaney - he's been rumoured with Leicester and Burnley.

what is it with you lot and a rumour,

heres one Fredie Eastwood is going to Carlisle at the end of the season, apparently steve tilson is very close to there groundsman who has master minded the whole thing !!
