Royal Mail shares

Everyone knew at the time it was a low price so not sure why everyone seems so surprised about this latest story. Just confirms what we already knew!

IMO we get a fair wage for what we do - i certainly work alot more hours than i used to and hence a decent pay rise.

I suspect there's a world of difference between my understanding of "do better" ie for the taxpayer and yours.

I am a tax payer as well Barna. Surely you are wishing me luck with these.
Just curious, why are you so worried about the British tax payer?

On Question Time last night neither Hain or Cable spoke to their own or parties credit on the sell off.
And the audience didn't seem happy with the sale either.
It does seem poor business and unnecessary, And a sale which will cost us all in the future.

16 'business partners' were given priority on the basis that they would invest in them long term and wouldn't sell instantly for a fast buck. When they did, and Vince Cable was asked what legal agreements were put in place, he said "It was a gentleman's agreement."

The whole thing stank from the day the government picked 16 priority investers who they hoped would stay in for awhile..Yeah ok, more like lets help a few of our mates out, who then cashed in before the Champagne had hardly been opened.

Wasn't it a mate of Osborne's that earnt a quick 16 mill profit.zzzzz "2 billion pound for the taxpayer"? WTF is that about?

It is yet another load of crap and corruption that we seem to take on the chin every day from government and we are meant to trust these people? Ha ha ha.

It seems that the select committee (in which all parties are represented) believe we lost out on £1bn. Well done the government.
