Ross McCormack Latest

I must say Ross Mccormack is one i usally buy on Championship manager for us and usally does pritty well, scores lots of goals, i also see his name come up a few times each week on sky sports new on a saturday scoring for motherwell so he may be a dectent siging if we could get hi.m

This looks increasing like a dead in the water move now too (that will please Cousin Weir obviously :p)

:hilarious:

Can't wait to tell a Boro fan I work with who regularly tells me I support a non-league team that they're looking at the same players as us now. How the (allegedly) mighty are fallen.

colin nish is on his way too

Where to?

OK then, if McCormack was setting our sites too high, why can't T&B give Strachan or Smith a ring and enquire if they've got any hot prospects needing a few months of regular 1st team football.

Donny did it with McCormack & Rangers before they let him go, so the old-firm are up for discussion if the move suits all parties!

how crap must there pay scale be?

Think Hibs don't pay anymore than £2k a week from what I've heard.
Although, obviously I am guessing they maybe structure decent bonuses on performance on top of that too, e.g. if they win the League Cup, get into Europe, something realistic like that!

From what I've heard on average, L1 teams in England (and some L2 teams, e.g. Mk Donuts, Peterborough, Darlo) pay better wages than SPL teams such as Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Motherwell, Kilmarnock & Hibs (not just the lesser SPL teams like Gretna, St Mirren & Falkirk*)

* - for example, only yesterday Brighton have signed the Falkirk captain!

It's no wonder that the old firm dominate so heavily these days then - clearly the smaller clubs just can't compete.

Must almost be time for the Deloitte's analysis of SPL finances.
Some of the debt clubs are in (including the old-firm) is scary.
If it was a business other than football, people would have walked away years ago & let the companies fold!
