Last night the atmosphere for the last 20 minutes was amazing. Was in row B of the East Greens and you could hear the noise from all around the ground (except from the North Bank).

Today was left recovering with a very sore throat.

Have also walked around with a massive grin and talked to anyone who would listen about last night. Had a meeting today aswell and was still in a really fantastic mood! My boss ended up saying, 'calm down Danny- god knows what you'll be like if they'd won!' Which then gave me another chance to bring up about last night.

He is a Palace fan, though!

Yea there was a guy who came to my door delivering a crate of wine today and dad answered and (as my dad had southend shirt on) asked him if he was went to the match and so on and he sounded like quite a big Southend fan.

For the record, when we scored, I said "Yes!" a little more loudly than in in normal conversation and then clapped a few times.

Consistency is the key. Even for zany guys like me.

We go 1-0 great celebrations but then the singing stops.
norwich go in at half time 2-1 up and there are boo's happening around me which i could not belive.
on 47 min we go 3-1 down with fans blaming Paynter!!!!!!!
than all of a sudden we put a bit of pressure on and everyone started to belive.
This gave the players belief they could get something out of the game and we all know what happened
biggrin.gif

Why oh why does it take being 3-1 down to get the crowd going. We ll done to EVERYONE that went for the last 20 mins

Only my second home game this season but the atmosphere for the last 20 mins reminded me of the old days when Tuesday / Friday night football was played reguarly. Best game I've seen for a while. If we can tighten up our defence we shouldn't be afraid of anyone in this league as the football we play is up there with the best.

Shame I had some t**t behind me moaning everytime we lost the ball and slagging the defence off when they scored. What was even more unbelievable was this guy kept shouting 'Come on Freddy' even when he was nowhere near the ball.

I was in east green row B like Roots Maul, and had fans sitting behind me constantly getting on Paynter's back, and not to mention Gower's! Very annoying when everyone else is trying to enjoy the game and support the team. Still it's only a slight sour point on such an awesome night that I will never forget!

Agreed, atmosphere was shocking for most of it, but excellent towards the end.
I dont want you all to have sore throats, you should all be so bad that you cant even talk the next day!

Wednesday game we were poor fans wise, it was great to see people standing up for the last 20 mins in the west for once and people joining in with the singing. But I'd still like more
tounge.gif

The West stand's alright for volume, or rather, it is when I can get in there, are you in the East? Chances are you've got the same problem as we have. We can't hear you, so presumably you can't hear us.

South Upper is the place to be. Does the guy with the bongo drums in the middle of the South Upper post on here?

p.s. I was standing up for the last 20mins or so in the south upper, but only because i was second from back row and nobody was behind me
smile.gif

I can never hear the guys in the east as i always tell people west is louder and East stand just solute... but it was nice to see everyone in time and hear it as loud as it was tuesday... Keep it up
tounge.gif

The atmosphere in the West was awesome for the last 20 minutes, I went absolutely mental when we equalised.

A couple of times you could hear the whole ground singing at the same time and that sounded really good.

The only chant from South upper is barmy army. And we need to get some proper drums for the upper where everyone can hear
