I do have the baisic knowledge to differentiate between a service address [registered office] and trading address.

Google lists telephone numbers for Martin Dawn in Chelmsford and you associate a tel line with physical trading, not third parties such as Solicitors & Accountants.

Jam Man beggars belief and seems to believe there is some consipracy. Where & how on earth can he form that opinion is beyond comprehension.

I have seen Ron Martin in Chelmsford because he does [or has] also worked there. I recall the last occasion I saw him was at Chelmsford Borough Council Offices.

Nothing strange in that itself, as he runs a property devolpment company. He had a meeting with one of the Planning Officers on the occasion - I also happended to be present at the council offices when he arrived at the reception desk and announced who he was.

Conversations/Negotiations and resolution of planning issues with council officers, at many venues [wherever his company are developing property/land] is clearly one of Rons skills.

He owned/ran a small [500 sq ft] Estate Agency shop in London Road Hadleigh in the late 1970's - early 1980's.

In the late 1980's another larger agency [which went into liquidation circa late 80/ealy 90's] called: The House Purchase Centre, from premises adjoining what was then the Middleton P.H. just off Southend High Street, where O'Neils is now located near Central Station].

Some may remember the logo "HPC" in I think a circle with brown lettering, if my meomory serves me correctly.

It is apparent he comes into contact with a number of planning decision makers in conjunction with property related matters and has had experience in these areas for some years.

Please do not suggest he does not operate out of Chelmsford again.

What has Mr Martin done to upset you ? You seem to be like a dog with a bone on this and other things related to Ron and the new stadium. Has he wronged you in the past and now you are out for revenge ?? Why have you only voiced this recently, the plans for the new stadium have been around for a couple of years you've had plenty of opportunity or are you just trying to stir up trouble ??

I do not seek credibility from this forum, of which I have been a member for 4 years. I respect many of its members but there seem to be a large contingent of inexperienced boys who are it seems no more than "colts" who are not worldly wise enough to know what the time of day may be.

I already have the credibility that goes with my professional status [dislcosed].

Just read the whole thread and you may in time learn something boys.

Be aware that I don't go into a gun fight with a pen knife.


For now you will have to be patient. Speak with the Police to get them to speed up the process if you can.

The "handle" goes back to a nickname given following a complaint made to Barry Hearn of Leyton Orient back in 03/04 season I think.

I deal mainly with b2b cases in conjunction with my business, so rarely come into contact with scumbags/scrotes. More white collar & corporate stuff.

You really should not put words into my mouth. I did not state Mr Martin to be of the ilk described and will be very prepared to respond to him or his lawyers on any issues he or they may have.

However on the clubs official site I have raised other issues which he has been unprepared to respond to, in the past 3 weeks or so.

I keep an open mind and if you will read the whole thread you will see that to some considerable extent I am cautiously supportive of Mr Martin or particulalry the football club, of which he is figurehead.

On the other hand there are a number of questions and inconsistencies and until the police enter charges or drop the matter, there remains a cloud over Mr Martin and his property company, which most unfortunately has a knock on effect to SUFC.

This may or not lead to further delays with the stadium development. If so that will be due to ongoing criminal investigations by the authorities.

Ian, I like yourself have experienced Debt Collection, 18 years of it in fact, so i dont really think that i can be classed as inexperienced. It seems to me that you are doing what i would i have done in my formative years and jumped to conclusions without knowing the full facts.

I have dealt with some of the scum of the earth in my time but you learn whats bull**** and whats not and i dont think that at this time we are getting this from Mr Martin.

I feel that if you do have suspicions you shouldnt be airing them until you have some concrete proof, not only can it antagonise people but could leave you with a huge amount of egg on your face if you are proven incorrect.

If you are as experienced as your assert, you should know that an on-going police investgation into money laundering and corruption, is sub judice[/SIZE].

I have simply identified issues, which reasonably should, be in the public domain.

Effectively one of the questions should assist RM viz. why have the police not implemented a seek and search at Martin Dawns own offices in Chelmsford. Their failure to do so may have assisted the sooner/quicker conclusion of their enquiries and not left the case hanging as is the current status quo.

Look up sub judice on google if you don't understand the law, or take advice from someone who can independently advise you.

Whilst innocent until proven guilty, from your comments it appears you advocate/suggest we just sweep it under the carpet, or simply ignore the possibility that criminal charges may bebrought to trial.

Independent enquiries can assist to speed up the process and that is what I have been attempting to do throughout ther whole of this week, long before RM went to the press on Friday.

Many SZ members individually have little nuggets of unconfirmed/non-verifed information. I have collated together these useful leads from many like minded supporters, who also reasonably seek these answers.

If nothing else I will pledge to them to eliminate all avenues of enquiry. I have nothing to prove, I can fully justify every word, and will follow up all leads at my own expense.

Mr Martin has been un-prepared to respond to disclosure requests for non criminal related questions [not sub-judice], placed across the clubs official site more than 3 weeks ago.

In the meantime we all will I am sure get behind the team in the final 13 games of the season, as you suggest.

I will not be responding to you any further across this forum, as quite a few do not seem to grasp the issues, or seem totally blinkered.

How would you or anyone know where his main office is from these facts ?

Why would all his offices not be raided if this was merely a property development related enquiry/matter ?

Having read your posts on here I cannot help but wonder why you are so interested in Ron Martin.

This club has had a succession of chairmen who have taken it in turns to suck it dry. Martin is clearly very good at self-promotion but he does it on the back of turning a club who were facing extinction with crowds of 2500 into a club turning over a profit with crowds of 7500. I'm not naive enough to believe that he doing this for any other reason that to benefit himself, but the one thing that cannot be denied is that the club is a lot better off for him. And since there is no indication that the police investigation involves the club I've no real interest in it.

You on the other hand come onto this message board with no introduction, make various innuendos about his business activities but don't explain why. You clearly have some reason for doing this, why don't you explain your motives in the public domain?
