Breaking News Revell joins Wycombe

Wycombe are probably trying to get out of it because they've realised what they're about to do...... :dim:

Does the two clubs a season rule apply to Football league also or just Premier League? This could be the problem which means he need special dispensation from the football league to play for Wycombe.

For the same reason that Everton paid £500k for Scott Spencer and let him go for nought. Sometimes managers make a decision that doesn't work out! Often, we can't find anybody to buy these guys off of us at any price. In the end, it probably evens out with the freebies that we pick up who we manage to sell on at a profit.

At the time Tilson thought Revell would be a good buy, Brighton valued him at £150k, Ron must have okayed the deal and unfortunately it didn't work out as good as hoped.

Ron Martin's declaration that more dilligance will be applied to future purchases may well have been addressed at Revell, as well as Foran.

Spot on.

Unfortunatley this is where Ron Martin can't understand the difference between football and business. You can do years of research on a player but for some reason it doesnt work. Even all the best managers make bad signings.

I get the impression when i have spoken to him that he is not happy with Tilson for wasting a lot of money and doesnt really want him spending much more......which could be a good thing. Tilson record at picking at cheap bargain buys is excellent. Lets hope Scott Spencer can be another!

I hope he signs, and strikes up a 30 goal partnership with Harrold that keeps them up this year. Nice away day at Wycombe, don't wanna lose it.

and Harrold and Ricketts and Clarke and O'Donovan(thank god we couldn't afford him!) and Walker...........

But whenever Tilly has had some money to spend, it's been spent badly! and I mean badly! Of the more expensice signings, Baily was an exception (£175k)

But does this actually affect us?

Surely, he is gone, finished, shot off at Southend. Surely if the transfer to Wycombe doesn't go through he is just a free agent rather than back with us?
