Breaking News Revell joins Wycombe

That was quick. Maybe his contract had a minimum release clause we had to cancel?!

Revs and Ginge up front for Wycombe?!

Revs and Ginge up front for Wycombe?!

It's ironic, given the comparisons some have made on here. When Revs came on as a sub against Wycombe in August, he looked lively and went close with a well-hit shot into the side netting. An honest and likeable fella, I hope he does well there but doesn't come back to haunt us. :nope:

Funnily enough, whenever I've seen Revell play most of his shots seemed to hit the side netting rather than go in too.Perhaps that's why he's on his way?:)
After all what's his stats record again-something like 4 goals in 50 odd starts, isn't it?

Well Done Mr King, you made another player leave on a free. How could Revs play after what King said. I cant blame \revs for going Good luck mate and all the best. Just one thing I would like to ask Revs if he ever scores against us please put your fingers up to KIng

A popular player with the fans and who knows, he may have made a great partnership with the new, revitalised, injury free Barnard, unlike any of his so called partners so far this season.

He may have been popular with fans, unlike the other strikers, but in reality he wasn't good enough. Initially at Swindon he was popular, but it was soon noticed how limited in ability he is. He's got a great attitude and is a whole hearted trier, but as a striker he misfired too many times IMO. I think we should all wish him well, and hope he prospers at Wycombe, but I think he'll be playing at League 2 level next season.

Just goes how far you can go with a small amount of footballing talent, some cooking skills and a pearly-white smile.

Perhaps Revell's fans on this board will appreciate how awful he was when he's not getting a game at Wycombe because Prince Harry is keeping him out of the side.

The paucity of our squad and the general desperation abounding is neatly illustrated by the fact that there are people disappointed, even upset, that Revell has gone and also that there are people delighted that Sankofa is nearing fitness.

In better times neither of these events would cause much of a stir.

This is the problem, Tilly is a great manager, but we brough him for £150,000...and now letting him leave on a free transfer!? Why not sell him to get at least a big of money. Every little helps.

Anyone notice that the news Wycombe have signed Revell has been taken off their OS?

For the same reason that Everton paid £500k for Scott Spencer and let him go for nought. Sometimes managers make a decision that doesn't work out! Often, we can't find anybody to buy these guys off of us at any price. In the end, it probably evens out with the freebies that we pick up who we manage to sell on at a profit.

At the time Tilson thought Revell would be a good buy, Brighton valued him at £150k, Ron must have okayed the deal and unfortunately it didn't work out as good as hoped.

Ron Martin's declaration that more dilligance will be applied to future purchases may well have been addressed at Revell, as well as Foran.
