Retro Shirt orders delayed

I don't know Nik. @Suffolk Shrimper In Dorset might be better placed to answer.
Kay, it's Gary who now deals with World Retro on behalf of the Trust, i have been out of that loop for over a year tho i did deal with them recently just re the Match for Micky kit (which was fine and sorted in time as i put the pressure on them re it). I do know that WR have had some big delay issues and that i believe it will be discussed at the Trust Board meeting on Monday. Certainly i think their service of late has been very poor and something drastic in my view (tho its not now me to steer and sort it) needs to happen.

Yeah, I know that, but @GBJ was asking about the M4M shirts?

Ah, less haste more speed, I must learn to read the question

It took about eight weeks to get the kit sorted - WR were always going to be the best option provided they delivered and so I applied huge pressure with micro management on it all, agreeing a spec which they drafted and I tweaked, they set the delivery times in writing (which they missed by two weeks but as I kept in touch and had some wriggle room it wasn't an issue). He knew it was for a charity match and that they just had to sort it otherwise the s$$t would hit the fan and in the end he flew the kit in himself to meet me at Bournemouth Airport (sometimes the effort we go to at the Trust to do these things just gets a little too much). So, a lot of effort, if I'd just said yes I'll have those, paid the money and waited we could have risked Barry Silkman and co playing in their birthday suits at M4M, not a good look though maybe we might have increased the attendance

I know they have had issues re changing factory supplier which has caused them to start from scratch re all the kit templates but it is simply no excuse for how they have treated folk let alone the unacceptable delays.

When I started it all off and grew the range the product was good and the delivery times (tho it still needed a lot of management) were ok. The price is good too (and still is). Indeed, the M4M kit was very good quality - I asked Garry Nelson yesterday what he thought of it and he said the whole Legends squad thought it very good. But we can't keep suffering their delays and poor comms - that is why in the end I had to hand over managing it to someone else on the Trust Board as it was detracting from my SUEPA work which was expanding anyway and there are only so many hours in the day. Plus I had a bit of a fall out with the WR guy and felt someone else would be better to deal with him.

Handling the WR kits from a Trust perspective should be easy and interesting too - just develop the range and let WR deal with the orders direct with customers. But the Trust instead gets bogged down in customer complaints who rightly seek to ask us what is happening when WR fail to supply

It is such a shame, but we should in my view cut them adrift completely and that is what I will be saying at the Trust Board meeting tomorrow.
