I know its very early doors ***, but if Miliband minor steps down, would Miliband major be in the running and would he want to now do you think?
I would assume not as he is not involved in UK politics at the moment. Alan Johnson would be the grass roots favourite but I don't think he wants the crap that goes with the job - look at what Ed has had to put up with.

In all the hoopla about the SNP no one that I can find is reporting their actual percentage share of the vote. When the dust settles there is going to have to be some serious soul searching about a system that gives almost every seat in Scotland to one party on or around 50% of the vote but which disenfranchises the Greens and UKIP's c.5 million voters.

This is a conversation that has been fudged for most of my lifetime, and it really must be addressed.

Where's Barna gone?

#barnabluegetsitwrongagain

I'm normally one for giving Barna stick, but today probably isn't the time to start trying to goad people. Some people are happy, some are sad, let's leave it at that.

Big game on Sunday too...

To be fair Ed brings a bit on himself though I think some of the blame can be apportioned to his campaign team. I actually like Alan Johnson as he comes across as honest, even last night when all the other Labour MP's were in denial he said it like it was, though this would mean him giving up his role on "This Week", which would be a pity as he is quite refreshing.

Will be interesting to see if the Tories keep on doing what they are doing with a majority or if they change course, David Cameron used the excuse that a lot of his pledges went unfulfilled because the coalition meant they needed to compromise with the Lib Dems, it looks unlikely the Lib Dems or any other party will be stopping Tory policies this time around.

That all depends on how much of a song and dance was made by said person. I'm perfectly happy to "leave it", as you say, for some of the less forceful with their views, but those who have displayed nothing but arrogance in the past few months/years should have thought about that before coming across that way.

If he makes an appearance then you have my blessing.

Whilst Cameron has been PM for a long time now I would be very surprised if he doesn't start making some significant changes, the Lib Dems for all their faults have forced the Tories to make sure their policies are moderate enough for them to vote yes with the Tories. That's gone now and Cameron doesn't need to worry about getting the agreement of another party when making a new policy.

Yep, giving the tories a heart as Clegg put it. Would have preffered a contiuation of the coalition

Looks like it's already started if this quote from Teresa May is accurate, the Lib Dems were always against NSA style surveillance and now they are gone it looks like the Tories will be rushing to impliment it:

"A conservative government would be giving the security agencies and law enforcement agencies the powers that they need to ensure they're keeping up to date as people communicate with communications data. We were prevented from bringing in that legislation into the last government because of the coalitions with the Lib Dems and we are determined to bring that through because we believe that is necessary to maintain the capabilities of our law enforcement agencies so they can continue to do the excellent job day in day out of keeping us safe and secure"

You ain't seen nothing yet, slash, cut, burn here we come, woohoo!!

Tories: 36% of the votes, around 320 seats

Labour: 30% of the votes, around 220 seats

UKIP: 12% of the votes, 1 seat

SNP: 5% of the votes, 56 seats

LibDems: 8% of the votes, 8 seats.

Well, at least we have a fair and representative electoral system...

SNP got 50% of the Scottish vote. Full fiscal autonomy with the black hole of 7.5 billion for the SNP to find to follow shortly. I'd get South pronto Century. With the inevitable rise in taxes, especially when they are compared to English rates there is likely to be capital flight and relocation of some business to England, especially in the financial sector. My loyalty however is the 50% who did not vote NAT. It's too easy to say let them go. Not every Scot is an SNP supporter thank God..

I guess ***'s trip to South Thanet fell on deaf ears as their vote share fell by over 7%.
I just dropped in once, Croydon Central was where I invested time but Labour failed to win that by 165 votes.

Where did you invest your time for the election? Shrimperzone? Oooooo-kaaaaaay then - you have every right to be smug.
