Would everyone be up for resetting all rep? I''ve got more rep than you can shake a stick at, at yet im nowhere near the top. ( And no, I'm not moaning, I couldn't give a African elephants left testicle how much I've got) If we reset everyones, the game starts again, and because the amount of points involved would be smaller, it would make a difference. If I negative repped someone now, the chances are they would still have kazillions of green. How boring is that?

Yes, I've thought about that too (despite being a consistent Top5 performer in the rep tables!)

Plus, if I rep certain people now, I can take them from green to red (or vice-versa) with a click of a mouse!

Maybe another public vote to decide? Perhaps it should be reset every 6 months or so?

agreed... i think it would be fun to do it again, it would take a few weeks at least for people to become as powerful again... the only downside is that i would argue that the order is fairly fair and the regular and likeable posters generally have good rep

As an aside, I've just repped somebody's 1st post & as the only person who has repped them so far I checked to see how much a single click of green added to their profile and it was 59 million+ (approx 10% of my current total!)

Think it probably does need resetting (and also maybe changing the settings so it's harder to build up such huge totals?)

I don't take much notice of reputation, although the settings may need adjusting. I think it gives 10% of your total when you 'pos' rep someone and -5% when they're 'neg' repped

How about quality posts being rewarded with cash prizes, a kind 'bon mot' bonus?

Consistent quality posts could be rewarded with a smart blazer or sports jacket with the SZ logo embroidered on the pocket so that elite contributors can be easily spotted on match days.
