Released Players, Possible Transfer Targets?

I know quite a few people are making the point that strikers are not the main priority for a new signing. But i think Ali G is worth a mention, released from MK Dons, Ali Gerba is a Canadian international, scored 10 goals in 16 starts and 8 sub apperances for the Dons. Any thoughts?

My though are (And I dont have any contacts or inside info on this) that he is a fat useless *******.

Agreed he did do well goals wise but my god he was cack at Roots Hall.

That's a strange one as they were reportedly going to offer him a new contract yesterday. Perhaps he has a new club lined up.

I saw that today and was shocked, yesterday they was talking about offering him a new deal. Has spent a lot of this season at right back as well.

Be good to her toellandback's thoughts on this. Also, how is Liam Dickinson getting on at Leeds? You likely to go for him in the summer?

I think Gareth has been keeping away after the 'mighty' Leeds let him down again!!

Douglas will deffinatly come on big wages, and was probably only offered a 1 year deal. Still wouldnt say no, but id rather wait to see what tilly brings in

Douglas will go to a C'ship club... The only reason he's been released by Leeds is because he's on quite a hefty five figure salary and Bates is desperate to cut back on expenditure during the credit crunch.

Lita will probably end up at Norwich if he decides to slum it in League One.

I'd like to see us go for Bradley Johnson again in all fairness... We've always lacked something on the left flank since Gower left and he would be a dream fit. Although, according to my Swansea supporting mate, Swansea are actively searching for two wingers, which could see Gower out the door.

I would pay good money to see Gower come back here. Maybe his best years are behind him but still the best left winger I have ever seen at Southend bar maybe Ricky Otto.

I see Ben Davies at Shrewsbury has been offered a new contract. Always struck me as someone in the "Gower" mould there.

If his out of contract, I'd like us to have a go for him.

Not sure if G would be happy staying down in Swansea if that was the case.

There's also a rumour on a Swans forum linking him with a move back to us.

25% of our fans thought he wasn't good enough too. And that was when we were in League Two.
