Forgot to say, when I left the Box Park on Sunday some random fella asked to take my picture. Puzzled I asked why, turned out he was snapping retro shirts (I was wearing a blue Firholm one). Think my lad said the photographer was from 'The Threaded Pass' 
As we approached the stadium a woman clutching a clipboard said 'Ah, the 88/89 shirt - which one?' and produced a montage of every Southend United shirt ever manufactured. I pointed put the one with the yellow piping down the side, which she gleefully ticked off. She was playing Retro Shirt Bingo!
