At one point on Saturday and for some reason my phone wouldnt connect to anything i asked a friend for the scores for Aldershot, Wealdstone, Kings Lynn and Dover! let that sink in. Worried about scores of those four clubs in a relegation battle. Jeez, we have fallen a long way. Im going Friday to Grimsby as i did to Daggers and Borehamwood. Not going with any hope of a result so anything positive will be a huge bonus but as other have said we simply need to pick up points otherwise we will start to get left behind and as we know thats hard to recover fromMy worry, is we ARE in a 4-way dog fight for the bottom 3 relegation places, and defeat on Friday will put us 6 points adrift already and even 2 points inside the relegation zone.
We NEED! 5 or 6 new players if we are to stay up.
Indeed. Anyone who thinks that doesn't happen continuously is probably wrong. I suspect it happens in all clubs, even ones that are winning on a regular basis. We all knew this was the case, just ignore the trolls, they are just saddo's that have no life
Only the bottom 3 go down and Aldershot aren't playing this weekMy worry, is we ARE in a 4-way dog fight for the bottom 3 relegation places, and defeat on Friday will put us 6 points adrift already and even 2 points inside the relegation zone.

I couldn’t disagree more.Stan - this is great to hear and I do think Kev and Darren Currie do care - It is clear to see that Darren and Kev are frustrated and they want more from this group of players & their determination is evident.
We need to be able to compete physically - we are woefully short of the workmanlike players needed at this level.
Moreover we need to work out how to play the referees better - Woking were a nasty, sneaky side who got away with loads of cheap shots that go unpunished. We need to fight fire with fire.
Whilst we are in a relegation dog fight I’d argue there’s more than 4 teams in it and the bottom relegation place is already taken by Dover so it’s only a fight to get out of 2 places rather than 3.My worry, is we ARE in a 4-way dog fight for the bottom 3 relegation places, and defeat on Friday will put us 6 points adrift already and even 2 points inside the relegation zone.

Which makes our next game at RH against Maidenhead a vital one to win.Whilst we are in a relegation dog fight I’d argue there’s more than 4 teams in it and the bottom relegation place is already taken by Dover so it’s only a fight to get out of 2 places rather than 3.
It’s between us, Aldershot, King’s Lynn, Maidenhead, Weymouth, and Barnet for those other 2 places IMO. And there’s always the potential for another team to go on a terrible run and get dragged into it.
Why are u going all that way ? When u have just said u have no expectations of getting a result! I don't know if u have BT SPORT or not ? But the monthly subscription would be cheaper then what u will pay to travel and get into the Grimsby game! U are aware it's on BT?At one point on Saturday and for some reason my phone wouldnt connect to anything i asked a friend for the scores for Aldershot, Wealdstone, Kings Lynn and Dover! let that sink in. It’s called supporting through thick and thin! Why are u going all that way ? When u have just said u have no expectations of getting a result! I don't know if u have BT SPORT or not ? Blindingly obvious to you and not me. I didn't ask what the budget was. I just want to know if the recruiters have definite perimeters to work to or whether they identify players and then go cap in hand to RM to sign off on them?Wait and see like everyone else. None of those things will be in the public domain for blindingly obvious reasons.
Pretty sure Stan said he will be posting mainly on official channels now nice to see it’s in hand but don’t think it’s our business tbh. Probably won’t hear anymore until something is done. Remember brown talking about ripping up contracts never happened so wait and seenBlindingly obvious to you and not me. I didn't ask what the budget was. As for how long the process will take? Well a simple response such as negotiations are going well or whatever would suffice.
The bit about players being paid off is important to me when I look at the regular toxic issues the club has endured in recent seasons. Some of the players we need to replace must know it's them that are unwanted. Never a good thing.
The disciplinary question is a fair one. With the amount of experienced players we have, and the predicament we are in, it's time players learnt to button it.
It's about the promised transparency isn't it?
I'm not religious because I don't have blind faith and that's putting my immortal soul on the line. I certainly am not going to believe unproven claims of club progress when football is way more important than my soul. If I have a soul I am sure it will be going downwards when I die and at the moment downwards is the direction of my club whilst I live!
Are you for real. I have BT sport but support Southend Utd. Ive never not gone to any game because the game is live on tv. Me and my son have missed two games home and away this season and as hard as it is i would never let the tv stop me. If you and others choose to stay at home so beit and no criticism from me but we are goin with the slim home that we may get something. If you dont understand that then id question what you think supporting a team is all aboutWhy are u going all that way ? When u have just said u have no expectations of getting a result! I fully appreciate that stability will take time but time is very much against us. Under the new regime we have played four league games and lost three of them. In the three defeats we failed to score a goal. As yet I am finding the claims of progress difficult to understand.Supporters will have to accept that no-one can wave a magic wand overnight, you can't arrest 3+ years of massive decline over a period of a few weeks or even months. The club is now far more professionally run with people in the right positions - positions that can only benefit us long-term. Hopefully with new recruitment we can pull ourselves away from danger and consolidate. Fans can at least look forward to a brighter future with the changes that have been implemented up until now and those that are also on the way but it'll take time. Patience is needed. Personally I think we'll stay up but not with this squad of players, it's good to hear that new signings are on the way sometime soon.
It's because he like many Shrimpers fans are traditional "die hard" fans who will support the team whatever........Why are u going all that way ?
