Any reports from boxpark? Worth the entrance fee? What were the interviews with ex players and entertainment like?

Summary - very good
Detail- player interviews, could not hear if upstairs, we went downstairs. They were too short, I didn’t like the interviewer ( but most did, maybe an age thing), I thought his questions were poor and not good at getting players to open up( John white was exception and speaks really well .
Band very good
Southed guitar guy very good
Food better than expected but pricy
Queues for bars- depending where you went from no queue to 20 mins
Party atmosphere,
Could- should have had Southend related stuff on big screen ie if interviewing Freddy show his goals. Show the goals from the last two matches and key past Southend highlight- there is a brilliant 5 min video someone on here did.

Don’t get me wrong overall it was very enjoyable and I would pay again, but could have been more ‘Southend united’ focused and not just a general party

Agree about it having more SUFC stuff there.
I was told it was loud and they cranked up the volume too but not a problem for me as i am currently deaf.
You could see quite a bit on the big screen and it was great seeing everyone singing along to the songs being played (i could just about make the music out with the hearing problem)
Was so lovey to see so many familiar faces and catch up with loads too
Was it worth the money - yes i think it was
Would i pay again - yes i would

Agree with what you said. I was upstairs and I couldn’t hear (hearing not great at the best of times!) but my son couldn’t hear either. Got to shake Mark Gowers hand as I passed him downstairs. Then having got our food we found a ledge upstairs. On the opposite side came Mark his son(?) and other family members- they had pizza boxes. I was hoping to have a selfie after they had eaten, seemed rude to ask whilst he was eating (although that didn’t stop one guy from asking- and Mark did oblige) . However went to get a beer from the pub upstairs and found you couldn’t take your beers outside of the pub!

The atmosphere was great (less so when we went back afterwards) and the food choices very good. Would definitely do again if we don’t go up as champions!
