PS3 - Is it worth the money?

Because so many places haven't sold out and have stock left over, it's going to fall in price, so wait a while before buying one if you can.

I think you'll be in for a very long wait for any significant drop in prices. Sony makes a substantial loss on every console that they sell so they will fight to keep the price up and they'll be confident that sales will pick up as the catalogue of games improves. I know I'm in no rush to get one now but will as soon as GTA4, MGS4 & Pro Evo come out.

I also think this crisis that Sony are supposedly facing is overstated. Yeah, they didn't sell out but in terms of units they've apparently blown the 360 and the Wii out of the water. They supplied far, far more consoles than anyone else has ever done on release day.

Or like a sword, a wand, point and click shooting system (imagine GTA4 like that eh?) Graphics may be a tad on the poor side, but for some of us (like me), graphics don't mean a lot. They help, but I preffer a long, hard game to a short easy one with top-notch graphics.

Banjo Kazooie is my all-time fav.; Banjo-Tooie as well. I never had much time to play on these consoles so I saw no reason to upgrade when you're happy with what you've got.

retro consoles are the best my favorite console of all time has to be the sega megadrive, sonic, golden axe,pga golf and fifa 97 (indoor football!) all classics. in the last few days ive been hooked to my gameboy although the only game i can find is bowling which can get boring. Looking on ebay to find games atm lol :)

PS3. Dogs bollox. Worth every penny paid for. Freinds got one, but if you are going to get one..make sure you have a hd tv (High Defintion) to make sure you get the most out of the whooping graphics!

Games are awsume. I'd reccomend getting one. I'd get one, but due to lack o' funds...

Seconded. Goldeneye is such a top game! You can keep all yer fancy PS whatevers; this game (by Rare if I remember correctly) just hasn't dated at all ...

Whats peoples opinions on stuff like online gaming on the PS3.

If I were going to get a console Id get an Xbox360 due to the online gaming. On top of Xbox live that current exists in the near future it will be cross-platfrom so you can play against PC Gamers as well as X-box.

The thing that really appeals with the XBox360 is it can act as a media extender so if you had a PC with vista on it you could stream video and music to your Xbox. So you could purchase and legally download a movie to your PC then using media center play said movie on your TV in another room.
Not sure if PS3 does this kind of thing ?
